Why does Chromie have a male dragon name?

I just noticed with the bronze dragonflight quest in Thaldraszus that Chromies draconic name follows the male pattern of naming for the brone dragonflight " Chronormu" instead of “Chronormi”, is this a redshirt guy moment or can dragons change sex when transforming into there mortal form? And is this the only case in lore where a dragon does this?

Is Chronormu male biologically or just given a male name as a female?

Chromie was male at birth but decided for a female visage. Theres the short story “Visage day” going further into the matter. Visage day is pretty much the moment when dragons come off age and take up their humanoid form.

Basically, it describes that she always felt as something is wrong with her not being able to decide what her visage to look like and the short story kinda puts you through her decision making. She eventually decided to become a female gnome.

so is she a she in dragon form? or a he?

Chronormu/Chromie is a she in both forms now, yes, as far as I know.

While dragons do have a preferred visage they’re not bound into using that specific one. Kairoz used a blelf visage generally, but in alt dreanor he got beaten to death in the form of an orc.

The whole character is cringe incarnate and I will cook a great feast if she dies horribly.
