That sounds nice! I hope you will have lot of fun and i am sure you will do great. What class are you running in with?
In the last three letters.
You’re welcome.
Role Playing Game?
You and I clearly do not have the same idea of Role Playing, or Game for that matter.
You’re welcome.
Im going to try this girl again moonkin .
Trying to read and watch so many tacts its overwhelming i should be used to it but i want to do my best.
I must resist and be good but my idea of RP is different again
Yey druiding all the way then! Can’t fail!
I’ve figured…
“Role Playing Game” is not just something to separate between “Role playing” then “Game”.
Those two are parts of if, but the denomination “Role Playing Game” as a whole is a specific type of video game that involve character progression.
Not only it. But believe it or not, it’s part of the very definition of the gender.
For my M15 and raids runs I use almost as many consumables as I did back in vanilla and TBC. This has never been the case before since WotLK.
Just saying. People can pretend they get properly geared with welfare gear, but gravitating around 380-390 average ilvl isn’t exactly top geared. One slot doesn’t change much. And going above that takes some investment and commitment.
Not to go THAT direction but it reminds me of… people keep using “this is MMORPG” as reason for all kind of ridiculous stuff, why not also require then everyone to actually RP while playing. No RP, no loot then. So in raid you have to go like “HAHAAA mister Dragon your time is running short! It is ME, mighty Paladin, here to stop your misery!” before pull. Because after all, it is mmoRPG.
…and how does that say anything about how character progression works?
I’m still progressing my character(s) loads… I can’t even see an end to it. If you don’t have a sense of progression, that just means this game doesn’t offer your idea of progression. It does not mean it breaks it’s genre. That’s all in your head.
to ruin this games progression system… also because bad players who put, nearly no time or effort into the game clearly should get the same rewards as those who put alot of time and effort in… Yes its only once every like other week, but you still shouldn’t get gear with the same itemlevel as an heroic item for mindless effort. Its unrewarding and unsatisfying.
You dont play many mmos or rpgs do you? Character progression and increase of power is a massive part of both.
Once every other week is how often people would buy stuff from badge vendors, so literally the same thing of people getting good gear out of easy content. And that started as early as TBC.
Because harder content = better reward is the base idea of the word “progression”?
Nobody said there was no progression.
On the contrary, peoples here are complaining that there is too much progression for no reason rewarded on easy content that shouldn’t make you progress.
MMORPG’s is the only genre that is able to keep me occupied.
Did I not just tell you that I feel like I have way too much progression to obtain for my character(s)? Or did you just choose to ignore that?
I am sorry you feel character progression is gone, or lacking, but we’re clearly very subjective about it.
Just want to remind for those it concerns that character progression is NOT same thing than “my gear doesn’t feel special enough if other people get almost as good gear than me in differet kind of content”.
yes yes… however this content is mind mindbogglingly easy (and boring) and requires such little effort and time its ridiculous.
And what about “my gear feel stupid because I just got an upgrade from a boring and useless content to replace a piece of gear I have worked hard to obtain so it destroy any incentive to actually play hard content.” ?
And rewards ONLY that.
The dungeons in previous expansions would also result in reagents, gold, etc on top of the badges to buy the gear. It wasn’t like the time investment resulted in the item reward exclusively.
