What is the reasoning behind it? I thought high quality items should require effort to optain.
I personally thought, it was impossible to make content so boring and easy, that I wouldn’t consider it worth to do 30 minutes of content for a 400 item level piece, but Darkshore has done it. It must be the most boring content in the history of this game.
Why does it award premium content gear, when there are no requirements to do it, and everyone can do it with absolutely no effort, as long as you are willing to torture yourself for 30 minutes… Well, I don’t know.
Why do you care what others have? Why don’t you just concentrate on what YOU have. Its hardly like 400 gear is the best in the game at the moment is it?
I don’t care what others have. I just don’t find it very satisfying to be given a 400-item level piece for doing some very easy content. High item level gear should be warded through hard content, not the easiest of the easiest.
Even so - this is like 1 piece per (almost) month that you’ll get. So in 3-4 months when the gear is reset again (come patch 8.2) someone could have amassed a huge 3 or 4 out of 10 pieces through Warfronts. Hardly game-braking now is it?
I think it’s mostly nice for alts (I don’t play any) that don’t do M+ dungeons. But if you do M+ dungeons (especially with friends who you can trade gear with often), which probably most raiders do anyway, you have no shortage of 400+ pieces and there’s only a small chance that the Darkshore piece will be an upgrade.
Im going to try raiding again soon only on a small scale nothing like mythic i used to do and see if my body and mind can cope with it again once or twice a week . This gear will help me a little towards doing that i hope
Because wow used to have a raid progression system with a progression ceiling to go for. In tbc if you hit 70 you did kara , not end content raids. Makes sense right ?
Then the people who said " i got a job you know Blizz , i got kids , i cba to spend my spare time to see the end level" So Blizz agreed and said you know what , we will bring end content to you , free epics , huge ilvl upgrades every patch. catch up systems.
I mean when you play a rpg you want to be OP soon as you hit end lvl naturally. MAke gear and loot irrelevant fast.
Who set the rules for what a “MMORPG”, or whatever should be like? There is nothing in said title, that says anything about how the progress should be like.
Going to PUG it or with a guild/group? I don’t know what Uldir was like, but this new raid is really neat. I’m enjoying it a lot, hope you will too! (Missed out when my group did Jaina on normal, so now I have to pug that since they/we only do heroic now.)
funny how alot people want Classic eh ? Maybe because like the fact there is a ceiling there is goal in terms of loot , progression etc you know like a mmorpg ?
If you want the mmorpg argument. What’s mmo about Wow lately ? Or RPG for that matter ?
Ive joined a guild they seem really nice going for a social run friday and see how we all feel and see how i do and go from there.
PuGs scare me constantly worried about negative vibes/kicking and nerves.
That’s precisely by concentrating on what WE have that rewards like this became a problem, because it breaks every sense of logical progression and yes, it is a problem that negatively affect my game experience.
Where does that say anything at all about character progression? It’s all in your head; Your idea that MMORPG means “hard to progress your character”. The first MMORPG might have done it that way(Ultima Online or Everquest was it? I don’t remember anymore), but they are certainly not the ones to tell how any other MMORPG should be like. That’s not what MMORPG means.
People have with this 5th reset surpassed normal mode of BoD and have enterered HC BoD IL already. Anybody still saying: “Why do you care about others their gear?” or “It’s just catch up”. Open your eyes, why play the game?! Just wait for the ‘catch up gear’ that will reward IL 400 soon (naga invasions) and the the IL bump to WQ… This is beyond sad. Wow was always about playing the patch post-Wrath but this is insane. Mythic Uldir is already 100% compelty useless. At the very least in the past the hardest difficulty would remain a bit relevant, people still did HC Firelands for Ragnaros (384 loot, trinkets and the legendary staff) during DS, yet mythic G’huun is already useless now.
