Why does visions make me so angry

Why always there needs to be a dork with this type of reply?
You know that there are some achievements linked with this “part of the game” ? And that people try to complete them, only for the achievement.
I noticed that casters have real issues in visions, so i really understand the OP’s frustration. Unlike classes like DH or paladins, casters need to work harder to complete them. Yes, it is do-able, but harder.
You are lucky, if i would be mod on this forum, i would ban you. Lucky that i’m not.

Obviously a troll post. You make enough to run three or four of these runs a week if you want.

3/10

Personally I think visions are really fun. And there is A LOT of room for error in a 5 mask run, I make plenty and still don’t have to use any orbs to complete one.

I quite like visions to be honest. Yes they are repetetive and over punishable in a way. I cap 3 characters weekly with a 5 mask run. I can cheese it on my fire mage, despite having the worst gear and corruptions on that character. There is a lot of mechanics you can abuse with mage’s shimmer. Shadow priest on the other hand, I need to be in a right mindset for this one. I think through the run before commiting. It is also the most satisfying to finish on SP. And I absolutely need full buffs with flask, pots, int scroll, rune and a bunch of K’Babs.
Rogue is average in difficulty imo, and is tricky sometimes as its currently the only melee I play.
But I can understand the frustration sometimes, losing the vessel is bad and should be treated as a m+ key - if you fail, you can still use it, but lets say it would downgrade a mask, making it completable on lesser difficulty and so on.

and what is 3 runs ? thats nothing if you want to learn how to deal with masks .

now if they cut the bost of vessels by 4 or 5 times - then people would be able to do it 12-15 times - and that would be more then enough to progress weekly

The only thing I don’t like about visions is the stupid amount of grinding needed to do them. The visions themselves, whilst annoying at times, have forced me to become a better player. In m+ terms I’ve probably improved by one or two keys and I can handle more mechanics on the fly now than I ever could before.

I’d like the visions more if you didn’t have to grind vessels just to be able to enter them. If they want you to be able to enter it a certain amount of times per week, they should just limit it that way instead of making me grind that currency. It’s really annoying to do a plenty daily quests you otherwise wouldn’t bother with only to fail the vision afterwards. When it comes to the tuning, the masks and all that… I find them fun, personally.

Then don’t do the dailies. The amount of coalesencing visions you get from them is tiny. Just do the assaults, 3 times a week, and at least one daily mini vision. That’ll still get you ~3 keys or so, without doing any dailies bar one mini vision. You don’t even need to do the assaults on the same day: do the lesser assault one day, the major on another, and the second lesser when it switches. That’s nicely spread out over multiple days, so you don’t get overwhelmed with N’zoth’s whispers, and retain most of your sanity.

I usually do the dailies during the assaults (but skip annoying ones like rares & chests - I’ll pick them up and do it if it doesn’t mean spending far more time in the zone, but will abandon them otherwise), and the daily mini-visions because they take like 6 minutes. That’s it. And I can do my 4 and 5-mask runs each week, and have another key to spare to boost friends’ alts.

Yes.

Well, partially. It’s not over for me when such things happen, but it’s very irritating. Loss of character control all over the place just makes visions a horrible experience.

Sure, that’s good enough for a main that already has it all maxed out. I’ll agree. On an alt where I am trying to catch up, though… the dailies do make a difference. Doing all of them gives you a little bit more than 2k of the currency every day, even more on the Saturdays where you have a new lesser assault activate therefore you can do the dailies twice. I’ve not done the exact math, but doing the dailies gives you at least one extra vision per week which allows you to catch up way faster.

Unless you want the reputation, nope. I have an alt DK, 7.5 days /played on 120, rank15 cloak, full research, can do 5-mask runs (though I only do 3 and 4-masks, because it’s easier and I don’t care about that extra corrupted gear piece that much). I’ve done the assaults and daily visions only (+ dailies during assault, the way I explained in my previous post).

I reached level 120 on that char on the 20th of February, got r15 cloak a month later, all solo. If I did the dailies, I could’ve saved a few days maybe - not worth it in my opinion.

To catch up fast, ask a friend to pull you through the early ranks: you can get a ton of mementos by doing a full 0/1/2 mask run instead of just killing the first boss without the other objectives. More mementos => faster research => faster runs => faster catchup.

this happens when you do content tuned for 450 as 470 .

thats like if i would brag that about farming 4x freehold with 4dps and tank -- when people in group are 450-460 --

such an achievement

Because they are so boring and grindy

I like visions, they make me gold.

I get pissed off when I get CC’d often, which happens all the time in horrific visions I hear.

I think it’s just bad game design to have mobs do too much CC. There is a reason why people hate rogues.

5 mask run might be tuned for 450 if you’re a DH, but it’s a bit higher for us normies

It isnt players respossibility to make content challenging for themself. Thats on Blizzard.

there are mutliple youtube videos showing people clearing them in 450 on varius classes .

dont worry i s…ck at hardmodes too - i just admit it instead pretending its different. maybe after 3-4 months clearing first 2 then 3 and finally 4 masks for gear i will clear it too  gotta start using k’babs and flasks/pots too i guess -_-

and it is chalenging

the version for masses is 0 masks with level 15 cloak.

hardmodes are not for everyone - i dont like as chalenging content so i simply dont do it. its not like you need that gear for anything if you dont raid mythic/do high level mythic + keys anyway .

i do think though that blizzard should put additional 2-3 essence slots so that ap farm wasnt pointless and so that content got nerfed a little - it is end of expansion anyway.

and i do think that with cloak r15 cloak , using consumables etc and full emmisaries gear at least 1 mask is achievable for anyone. this give people clear chances for 1x450 gear a week. then when you have 450 in all slots 2 masks should be doable . etc etc

it is nice progression imo as alternative to middle level keys mythic + / hc raiding.

Yeah, those vids are way beyond my skill level. I pretend they don’t exist 'cause I know I’ll never do what they can do! I don’t think Visions are tuned for elite players in the way high M+ and HC / Mythic raids are, so they break the tuning.

My feeling is Visions are tuned for 5-10 ilvls below the reward gear. I cleared 3 mask at around 453 and 4 at just below 460. At 4 masks the goulash and k’babs really help. I’m building up for 5 mask run, which I may try this week.
