All of my arguments are perfectly valid, you just have no decent rebuttal to them. For example argument 1:
Name one. You said we can ‘write such a list about any class’, so please tell me 1 other class that has 3 different immunities to a category of damage.
By the way, you’re the one who made an argument about ratings, saying how ‘BoP is dispelled pretty much in a GCD at higher ratings’ when trying to downplay the strength of your abilities. Rating has absolutely nothing to do with RNG, and you know nothing about ‘higher rating’ anyway. You also have a negative win rate. These are facts, sorry if they offend you. Therefore, your misunderstandings and downplaying of your perfectly fine (and in some regards, overtuned) spec can be easily forgiven, don’t worry.
I’ll solve the mystery for you: Ret like all other hybrids are speced into DPS, therefore all hybrids dont need to have big heals. They speced into DPS to deal damage, right? Want to heal yourself? Then change spec to healer.
If you wanna go by that logic Warrior is a Tank/DPS hybrid. Tanks are durable and selfheal = durability. That’s why Heal hybrids are able to heal other party members as well and not just themselves like warrior.
The hybrid concept is completely outdated anyways. Besides some utility and off/deff cds the specs of the same class don’t really share much more.
All the specs have some kind of durability. Some more than others but that’s just balancing
the game was different back then if you messed your mobility up meele could punish you thats not the case now you can just casually max range meele while doing good dps not saying meele mobility is fine either but there is no way i should be able to blink 3x displacement alter time back after blinking and blast wave people on an 18 second cd and thats without taking into account roots/snares.
Mage should go back to how it was in the past a glass cannon where yes you could do these things but it had a cooldown you had to play around and the mage and the comps that played with mage had to cover cc so you could get it off, you couldn’t just rng proc time warp and combust/veins/surge you had to play around frozen orb/veins deepfreeze/combust.
Mage lost a lot of what made it hard to play over the years just because of the shift in gameplay design right now you dont even have to land sheeps to win games thats a problem.
not only SOME classes can literally catch up to u, outrun u and so on
but when paired into arena, because im assuming yall talk about arena right, there is dispells on alter, block is 1 secon top and against good ppl its pre MD/shatter
and 2x melees can easily alternate their mobility/grips
not to mention that u r not able to blink stuns, and i swear ive seen ppl killing in 1 stormbolt, grip, silence, stormbolt, block, shatter/md, blink, grip, shockwave/spear/even fear
