Why doesn’t blizzard hire a team of dedicated admins per server?

This would dealing with the bot problem so much easier. Could somebody give me an intelligent answer on this, because I don’t get it? It can’t be “blizzard doesn’t want to spend money” right?

I know this might seem like an easy solution but let’s be real here, we’re dealing with multinational corporations that would sell their grandma if it meant they would get a quick profit.

Most if not all multinationals including games are using AI en masse to save themselves from having to hire people. Blizzard is hoping in this case an AI system is going to take place, evidently replacing customer support. In the meantime they’ll outsource it to some place in India because they’re cheap to pay at the moment.

The intelligent answer is money, the people
who own world of warcraft dont care about bots or content inside the game they care about profit. And not having game masters = more profit

Bobby Topdick wants to buy a new yaht so no way they gonna hire more ppl atm

  1. Blizzard profits off of the thousands of bots that run around in this game. The real reason they changed the prices of subscriptions in every region is probably because they want to make an even bigger profit off of bots. I haven’t seen any difference since that change was made, still the same amount of bots running around in-game.
  2. Why should they spend money on something they don’t care about? People will play the game no matter what and thus they still get away with the outdated subscription-based mode of playing a game. They probably only have 2-5 people working on SoD because of legal reasons, or they might get in trouble for not “taking care of the game” or something
There’s a reason they made cheating legal, because they can squeeze out more money before the game dies completely and they no longer make money from it.
I’m surprised they haven’t added any more micro-transactions to WoW yet, but I bet we’ll see it at the end of the year.

Well sh*t. So it’s that deep huh?

Or to be exact: We deal with a multinational coorperation which just layed off hundreds of employees - most of them from Blizzard.
No, they will not hire GM’s or admins at this point.

I feel bad for aggrend having to defend his company while in the back of his mind he also knows this…

I guess they don’t due to there being more than 1000 realms worldwide.

SoD has a budget of a McDonalds cheeseburger, not even fries. You think they can pay GMs ? Cmon now.

Bots pay subs. Small indie company gets money.

Hiring admins costs money. Small indie company would lose money.

Negligence, greed, lack of care, you name it.
