Blizzard are you aware that this useless talent that’s suppose to summon a Doomguard does not exist?
Me and my friend killed atleast 40+ low npc mobs with doom and the Doomguards has yet to be seen.
I’ve seen Doomguard once on when I played on Beta. The chance to spawn him is so low I don’t want to even bother. And Doom’s delayed dmg isn’t realy worth it in many situations.
Once my Doom kill spawned a Doomguard in PvP…but it was imideately killed in AoE.
On live? Should have screenshotted it I’ve never seen anyone bring one out
it only shows how blizz is brainless. Mathematically it doesn’t work … but ok blizz is bad at math
The chance to spawn it is low. The chance for doom to be the thing that kills a target is also low. It’s pretty bad. They should change it to work simillar to the old Doom.
Old one did spawn an imp everytime it crited. It was a dot back then. Let’s just leave it as delayed damage but it should spawn a doomguard on crit or at least small spawn chance on dealing damage.
Even that would be a huge buff if they would change

instead of of the doom brings the finishing blow.
Man… I am a demolock. Whats the chance of doom will land a finishing blow after 20 second when 12 imps, 2 dogs, 2 felguard and my personal 3 spells hits the enemy?
Summoning a Doomguard is the same chance summoning Exodia in Yugioh…
It’s just flavour text. Apparently the actual Doomguard part isn’t even in the game code.
Doomguard part of DooM spell is just pure mathematical disaster, that is multiplied by warlock class design disaster.
I mean where in current game Doom has a place, as a damage part of the spell and doomguard part?!
Raids? - only damage part of the spell on healthy mobs and bosses.
M+ trash? - Very unlikely. M+ bosses? - only damage part of the spell.
PvP? - only damage part of the spell, and it is highly unlikely due lack of dispel protection.
Another problems with Doomguard part of the spell.
What if you kill some one in PvP with Doom, and doomguard was summoned.
There will be several possible problem in this scenario.
- Doomguard will lock warlock in combat for 25 seconds of his lifespan as rest of non controlable demons do sometimes.
- AI will probably screw targeting, and will pick wrong target to attack.
- What if your enemy was the only one around, and miracle doomguard spawning is just wasted.
This is such a disastrous spell design, that is only to blizzard know how it passed in to a live servers.
Current doom should be used as an example in game designs books and articles of spell design that should never be repeated/replicated ever.
