Why Don't Druids Get More Forms?

As other classes get transmog for their gear and weapons, I question, why don’t druids get more things for their cat/bear/chicken form?

Have one item per raid which alters your shifted form and now those guardian and feral druids can be included in the transmog fun.

Legion did it great by letting them have lots of different forms which they could jump between.
Apart from Legion, the only raid drop item for shifted druids was Firelands (to my recollection).

Do others think giving the shifted druids 1 item per raid tier to change their mog would be acceptable?
Especially considering that now they’re only doing 4 tier sets instead of 12, they should have the additional resources for such a thing.

Two Demon Hunters specs get exclusive weapons in the form of glaives. So, exclusivity is an issue here as it already exists.
As all four druid specs can use both bear, cat and chicken form it would get wider use than a weapon which only 2 of 36 specs can use.

Your thoughts.

So…druids can’t mog their armor and weapons? Druid forms are considered more a skill then armor or weapons. You can’t mog skills.

I certainly think the artifact opened up the concept. Not sure how they’d implement it as other classes have to collect every single part of a set to complete it. The artifact was an unlock system. It would need to still be fair in some way. Maybe the bosses that drop parts of sets could drop a fragment of the full set and then Druids could complete them that way.

This is just an idea off the top of my head. I may not have thought it through :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

You can get a full body tattoo if you want, but if you wear a full body suit all day, who will be able to see it?
At least 3 specs of druid are stuck in a shapeshifted form (without gylphs) and are unable to see their mog.

I think you mean skin? Which we have ways away. Appearances tied to toys, on use items, weapons.
You know, like how the artefact forms work? Post legion.

Simple and effective.

There are only so many different variants of a cat you can do. Also it takes more time to make a full animal form than it takes to make armor set or a weapon.

Also druids are only stuck in those forms in combat. And in combat last thing you should worry about is how you look. Just turn off the form out of combat, it’s so simple and you can see your mog. That’s what I do on my druid.

One could say the same about a sword, but we’re still here getting new sword models. We’re nowhere near to scraping the barrel for ideas.

Hence why one bear/cat/chicken form per raid. That is also a dangerous line of thinking, just because it takes time we shouldn’t do it?
It takes more time to do 12 tier sets instead of 4, now we’re stuck with 4 per raid.

If something is worth doing, it’s worth doing in style, that’s my motto about transmog.

That largely ruins the appeal of being a shapeshifter in my opinion. It would be like making a tinker but spending no time in a mech.

I would like to get transmog gear that would also be visible on forms. Not talking about little pants and shirts to wear as cat but decorations on head/paws , sparkly diamond collars, fur dying (same way than haircolor and style) at barbershop etc. Meow!

You mean like incarnation style armour for the forms?

You can glyph ur abilities. There is room there,we got glyph of yeti? That is an easy way to implement aesthetics

With a sword it’s not that big a of an issue that once in a while you get something simillar to what we had in the past. With druid form I think it would be a bigger issue.

That’s why Emerald Nightmare and Nighthold had exact same looking sets. That’s why they’ve been using the same sets for pvp. Now because of making only 4 per raid they are giving more different verieties of sets. And on top of that we’re getting heritage armors.

Just because something takes time it deosn’t mean it’s not worth doing but time is a resource and they have to choose what to spend it on. And for druids I would rather that time be spent on giving more customized Moonkin and Travel forms for Worgen and Trolls. More customized aquatic forms for all old druid races. Maybe even updating cheetah and treant forms and adding new custom Tree of Life models.

Well, I’m not saying not but this idea might be costly.

I’m not saying you chouldn’t spend time in forms. But if you wanna chill out and look at your mog you have that option.

I am thinking more like items you can trangmog on just like gear in transmog. So not whole set that applies on you but loose items. Like, transmog paw bracelet on at transmog station and pink stripe into tail at barbershop. Invidual pieces that would give possibility to make invidual looking mogs for forms.

Druid forms are skills, Blizzard hates skills and removes them all the time.

You think they would add more?

I just want to be able to shave my bear

You can’t mog spells but there’s appearance variations for spells like polymorph and hex. Surely and quite easily could blizzard create a similar concept for druid forms. This already exists under the form of travel form glyphs.

i assume you mean fur dyeing :stuck_out_tongue: i doubt you would want to see the fur die. naked bears and cats look pretty scary, can’t even imagine the more humanoid moonkins without the feathers

Hah yes indeed, no burning my fur with too strong dyes.

As a druid, I’m entirely happy with all the skins that were added in Legion, for bear and cat. There’s a good number of choices available now. For numerous years, we were stuck with the default forms, so I’m still very content with what we have now.

More forms? Really? Saw what they added in Legion? We still have ONE wolf form…

That’s a lot of work just for one class. Not that i would complain (if it was for druid).
