Why don’t we have the random name button like US servers?
If I had to take a wild guess: in the US client, they have fewer supported languages than in the EU client and can prevent the name generator from accidentally creating a name containing one specific set of swear words in that one language.
In the EU client, you have several different European languages and they probably don’t want the random name generator to be able to accidentally spit out a name that looks perfectly fine to a non-speaker of that tongue but is an insult or perjorative in one of the many languages spoken here.
Actually, the US has two official languages. English and Spanish. With German also being widely spoken. Not to mention that the Native Americans also have their own languages…
I’m talking specificially about the US client of World of Warcraft. You can’t pick German or French in that one as you could with the European version. I don’t know if the US client has a language option for Spanish, which the EU version also has. Russian is also an option in the EU, which uses the kyrillic alphabet and would also need a seperate name generator.

We had it for one patch in legion I think it was, then once another big patch came out it was gone again. Lol that’s the only time I have personally ever seen it. I asked an EX Blizz employee on twitter a while ago and they said they had no idea that it wasn’t on the EU, I think it might just be an over look.
