Why don't you bring back resilience on pvp gear

to me it’s such a simple solution, just look at the time the PvP system/scene was the healthiest which was BC-WoD although WoD already saw a big decline in PvP participation, this was probably mainly due to the pruning.

I mean I liked the PvP system prior to WoD way more but after WoD it went strait to the garbage can.

so now that we have a timeline Blizzard just needs to copy/paste the system from those expansions which were Honor/Conquest vendors for gear and PvP only stats like resilience or PvP power.

I mean their main goal with removing those things was to make PvP more accessible and get more Dragonslayers to participate, well turns out they just don’t like the aspect of PvP regardless the barrier of entry and now Blizzard ended up screwing those who liked it how it was.

Dude more dragonslayers played PvP in MoP just for cap to get transmog than now and that’s a fact.

I thought they needed to do PvP because it was required to complete some part of the legendary cloak quest chain.

So many PvEers cried about that in the forums back then

That was 1 PvP “world quest” and it wasn’t real PvP. They played BGs and cap for sure at 1550 cr. I had plenty of PvE friends with full PvP gear in their bags.

That PvP part in legendary quest was a joke not even comparable to requirements for that BG essence.

To be honest I actually enjoy m+, I just wish you didn’t HAVE to do it all the time and it was the only source of gear bar trophying pvp chest rewards (which all seem to have bollocks stats) or the chest random proc.

Resilience was good although it had the flaw that late seasons BiS ended up being a mix of PvP and raid gear.

there is a difference between having 2 bis pve and 16 piece + pve
And before you could push r1 full gear pvp resilience (which is impossible now)

Resilience had a lot of weaknesses as well. You were still able to play with pve trinkets and pve weapons for example without dropping too much of defense and thats something we really dont want to!

Bring back the scaling system we had in WoD with the set boni on the trinkets. Maybe even increase the boni and include weapons to it so noone ever get the idea to play with pve stuff in pvp!

Because they want pvp to be widely accessible to PVE players as well, which it currently is, like it or not.

That’s why a random M+ / Mythic raid geared ape can jump into arena and smack people around. According to blizzard, this system works as intended - giving “everyone” a shot at PVP.

Can’t even count the amount of players on Kazzak that reached their first 2k+ this season.
All of them fully decked out in PvE gear. Especially tons of WW and DH’s with Ra-den weapons, Destro locks with BiS corruptions, Assa rogues with double PvE trinkets + good corruptions, Warriors with Cut of Death + corruptions etc etc.

We got that tho, its called Versatility.

Just available through PvE too, and also good in PvE for a lot of Specs.

Which is good and better than having a Set thats only worthful in PvP.

To be honest we are a bit guilty of this. We whinned that there are not enough players to play with and they should male some PvE players want to play PvP so we got what we asked for. Ion’s idea about PvP is similar to Jito’s vision of it. We kill each other - no matter who wins we all have fun. It doesn’t work this way. Ion was defending PvP world quests when 1 PvE player with BiS legendaries could 1v3 us with no problem and he said that it was fun in his times when 1 bis geared player came ganking and they had to gather up and fight him. He also said in WoD that random kills in PvP are fun which is actually partially true and why some oldschool plebs want 2h Enh back. 2h Enh was always trash spec and it was always worse than dual wield even in TBC but this way random pleb with 2h could randomly 1 shot a clothie. Nobody however thought that random deaths are not fun for someone who got killed. Arenas and rbgs are competitive content that is like a minigame that people liked and want to play. I know it doesn’t fit into overall PvE WoW design but if it was somehow successful and brought people to play it they should respect it and make the game fun for us as well. Just simple fair gearing system where we can adjust stats and no PvE crap enabled in PvP is all we need. Maybe some mechanics improvement but we can’t have everything. Instead we get a system where emoebas are rewarded for just playing more and grinding more and we are 2nd sort customers.

Tbh begining of BfA wasn’t that bad as PvP random drop rate was way higher like in Legion so we could gear easily and we didn’t really need a lot of PvE items besides some weapons and trinkets but after few crybabies complained that we get too many items we got screwed in season 2.

nah you forgot about the awful class balance that needs fixing too

To be honest Cata S10 was one of the most balanced seasons in the game. S11 when all broken PvE items and legendaries actually appeared was awful. But mid S9 and S10 some of the best PvP seasons.

Ich but that is just Another Point

Would rather see WoD system. Resilience had it’s own share of problems.
