Question is simple, why blizzard don’t bring back resilience on pvp gear? It worked before pretty good.
I guess their reasoning is because it’s an mmo and you should play all the content, also they don’t want people to run around with 2 gear sets.
I highly disagree with that though because not only do they keep screwing up by making pve gear bis for pvp, I’m already running around with like 2-3 different gear sets too.
Well fun part is , game was mostly balanced when resilence gear was out… less abusement from PvE.
Unified PvE and PvP gear is utopia.
Return ressilence back or make PvE gear -25% effective in PVP, and PvP gear -25% effective in PVE, this offcourse means return PvP vendors.
General concept is:
-PvP gear shoud be somewhat usable in PvE
-PvE gear shoud be somewhat usable in PVP
What this means? Fully PvP geared player wont have issue to complete mytic 10 with his gear, but if he want to tackle raid or high mytic+ he will need PvE gear, in other hand PvE player shoud be able to reach 1700 with PvE gear, but later he will need PvP gear.
They don’t want people to run around with 2 gear sets? We have a million gear sets now with all the corruption about lmao
im ok with no resilience being in the game, they already fixed this in the past by downscaling PvE items within PvP (MoP + WoD), disabling PvE effects inside PvP (late mop + wod), and applying templates (Legion) which they could have expanded on and let us customize.
real question is why they did away with that.
Yea but resilence would pretty much balance the Game
Ye but they want people to encourage high corruption opener one-shot tactic… Wow arena become cowboy duels, who gonna hit first, who gonna get corruptiion proc faster…I disrespect very hard sucha concept.
I know 2 sets isnt best solution but its only working solution so far, unified PvE and PvP gear is utopia, and playground for abuses and cheap cheesy tactics, which as you can see,. ruined entire PvP scene. (not much people palying even in time of corona when anyone stays home)
So 2x diferent set is necessary evil… if i must choose have 2 sets and somewhat balanced game… or have one set and suffer cheesy, cheap, abuses in PvP offcourse I choose 2 diferent sets, at least people not abandonging game because 2 sets, but they abandoning because current corruption and PvE circus.
It could be an option to put resilience just on trinkets and rings, avoiding in this way pve trinket in pvp. 2 trinkets are not so heavy, everyone should be able to carry them in his bag.
Ask Jito. He has the experience - he was 13 honor rank in Vanilla and he is 1550 cr while playing 16 years. Jokes aside. Everyone from PvP community cannot understand this and probably will never understand. I may accept someone using PvE piece with better secondary stats for his spec than mine becuase two PvP variants are haste/versa and versa/mastery and he go le’ts say haste/master. It’s not a problem for me. The biggest problem are trinkets and things like KR Sword, CoS items etc. In other post I gave my 3 possibilities of workaround for these. And one of them was used in Legion - just ban trinkets in PvP - simple.
Jito Works dir Blizzard anyway so maybe he knows
I am not aware Blizzard have made any announcements regarding Resilience, and I am not aware anything has been datamined regarding Resilience either.
So whether the stat is brought back or not is something time will tell. We’ll see. Jumping to conclusions now seems premature.
On a theoretical level I suppose there are some reasons why Blizzard might not wish to bring back Resilience, and I suppose there are also some reason why they might wish to bring it back as well.
the answer is simple: blizzard need you play ,play play
farming and rng game
Prety sure its a resource and marketing reason, its obvious that since activision bought blizzard they dont invest money on wow like they used to.
Another example would be tier specific class sets.
Or just wod, pvp items scale up in pvp and down in pve. wollah perfecto
Resilience is a bad fix for the current gear problem.
I’d rather they made PvP gear and PvE gear balanced in terms of stats, then have PvP trinkets give a bonus that PvE trinkets don’t. Otherwise just make PvE trinkets’ effects not work in arena.
Also, disable special effects on gear from PvE sources in arena.
Better to have gear that works equally well in both PvP and PvE, then I won’t have to fill up the bag with gear for PvP and PvE separately.
Just bring the resilence version from wrath that used to reduce, crit chance, crit damage and damage from the enemy players and their pets and or minions.
I’m so tired of doing m+ non stop.
Heck want to do a bg, duel, arena or world pvp without the gear that some guy that killed some scripted bosses will come and one shot me with all his procs.
Cata would also work
My PvP guild is full of people who don’t want to do “all the content” They’re fully equipped in useless pvp 445 gear, that is useless in all content, especially PvP.
PvP is the biggest factor of WoW, but the game went in the opposite direction and that is why it’s in such a bad shape.
There is a big part of the community 30%+ (60%+ if you count everyone that quit, because pvp was neglected) that play only pvp, and they’re not being represented at all. At. All.
Yeah, resilience was great. PvE had more damage and were op, but when you decided to hit them, they died. Good. PvP geared were very balanced that didn’t hit too much, but didn’t die too fast either. And then you progressed your PvP gear making the game so damn good. Anyone who joined Bgs had the basic set that made them useful and competitive already. I know I was wrecking with the base pvp set already, getting upgrades was just a cherry on the top.
That way you don’t get 120k or 200k hp noobs in your bgs that get spit on and shamed into leaving. It’s good culture, but Blizzard is nowhere to be seen.
Resilience gear is too much work for them and PvP doesnt bring the game revenue thats why. Golden Age of WoW PvP is gone forever.
Dude when casuals are asking why do we have to fight between factions after 15 years of fighting evil - saving world together xD Then what do you expect.
But there is WoD’s alternative. Not optimal but still better than this. Unfortunately Blizzard has this “casual” friendly policy. Casuals don’t queue arenas they do M+, weekly quests for normal/heroic raid rewards etc. and they also need to get nice rewards so they don’t feel completely bad even though they didn’t spend 10 min. reading all their spells. They just press one button that they see deals the most damage in their eyes but they don’t read that if they would use something before it would deal more. Blizzard even made more complex talents and talents worse so you feel forced to play these tasteless and boring specs. Even DH has a lot of talents that might improve the complexity and depth of it but they are nerfed and not worth taking because these bad players might feel “confused”. They didn’t want to add vendors because players felt “confused” in Wrath looking for proper vendor in a city that probably had 15-20 buildings to get in.
