Can you explain why you need an incentive to join a premade? I just want to know the thought process.
100% have to split pre-made with random que. This way the random que with grow larger and be balanced. YES, you might be paired in a hopeless que , but the next one will be balanced and the next one it will be your team that crushes the enemis. Let pre-mades fight pre-mades to have fun ![]()
I believe that people donât realize that with how things are going now the lobbies will end up premade vs premade anyways. Why? Because more and more people are joining premade groups since they realize solo-queueing will get them nowhere.
So in the end BGâs will just end up as premade vs premade without the option of even solo-queueing. Apart from the small amount of players that have not realized this yet, and will either join premades or not queue at all.
So why not have premade vs premade and solo-qeue, instead of only premade vs premade as an option?

As it is right now, premades are by far the fastest way to get to exalted. If the queues would be split, the queue time will be longer, and the game will also be a lot harder. So less people will even bother with premades and instead go pug. This will pretty much destroy pug v pug, because the ex-premaders that do pugs will just give up and afk if a game takes too long.
To prevent this from happening, if you increase rep/honor gains as compensation, people will still queue for premades so it is a win-win for everyone.

Thatâs a good point actually, but some people do enjoy playing solo, and others are too stubborn to even try out premades
To prevent this from happening, just join a premade. It is already better hph/rph.
Iâm used to Que as 4-5 ppl team
you canât win every map but itâs more fun then roll over pug teams in 10 ppl facerole combs
at last we got rly enough time reach exalted in P1
But this is exactly how the situation plays out today when premades face premades, no? One of the premades sides just go afk anyways? The argument really just boils down to getting honor and reputation while putting in a small amount of effort.
People tend to say that premades require a greater amount of effort because of the initial âplanningâ and should therefore be awarded more honor and rep. I disagree with this sentiment. In my opinion coordinating a pug generally requires more effort.
Absolutely.
thatâs just it though, noone in a PuG puts in the effort. 99% of the time before any pug in WSG SoD : Silence.
Because battlegrounds are not places to be farming other players with premades, not everyone wants to be attentive and have the most meta group of classes, be on discord all the time while doing BGs.
That is what rated BGs were for. In normal BGs, a lot of people want to come home from work, watch netflix and play with their right hand without tryharding in a premade group, you know, its a video game and some people want to have quick fun.
I appreciate these well-written answers but this question was posed to point out the stupidity of telling solo queuers to join a premade.
In a scenario where you have only premade vs premade, you achieve premade vs premade only queues, and you wouldnât face any solo pugs.
Meaning you would get separate queues. lol
Some people unironically think the solution for casual gamers is to play in a non-casual way.
Serious groups should not be pitted against weed smoking pugs.
Canât wait for the matchmaking changes to go live after wsg becomes irrelevant in phase 1 and basically everyone who wanted casual WSG misses out at 25.
Every single online video game on the planet has a competitive (ranked) game mode and a quick match game mode.
WoW classic didnât have this because back then when the game was released in 2004 it didnât cross wow devsâ minds.
Now, it is clearly needed so in a few weeks i will see you crying on the forums when they separate the ques.
I agree with you, just pointing out how they try to force their garbage minmaxing gameplay onto the entire playerbase.
btw dumb comment was directed at the premade people, iâll just remove it as its not clear.

Right now it is the fastest method by far, but if premade queues would be split without any extra compensation, it wouldnât be anymore. This means that ex-premade players will join pugs and ruin the experience there as I explained in depth already.

True, but from my experience people will still try to win the first fight, so at least thereâs some fun to be had there. And at least those premades would be in their own bubble then and wouldnât interfere with the pug experience anymore.

Thatâs true, itâs way harder to coordinate a bunch of random pugs as compared to premades (where most people are on the same page). But without an extra incentive, premades would cease to exist and the pug experience would suffer as a result.
why
because queue times?
You think solo q would become better?
So you oppose the claim that different people desire different things from this game? Iâll ignore the strawman that followed.
Yes, heâs one of those closeted, self-hating, separate queuers. Go on lad, come out of the closet, itâs 2024, we wonât judge.
Lets just see what the matchmaking update will be. It doesnât have to be two separate queues if other solutions can work at least as well if not better. The most important thing is they did not ignore the problem after all.
I think priorities in the same queue would work better. One queue where pugs are matched vs pugs and prems vs prems until one pool runs out (which will probably be premades of one faction). Then after a timeout of say 5mins if no opposing team is found, they are matched with pugs. Not saying this is ideal either cause smaller groups of 2-9 people will also create complications, but it should definitely work better than the current system and takes care of the empty queues/long waits argument.
In any case, the rep farm is less stressing now. The weekly AV will take care of that by the time it becomes relevant. Unless people still dream of having those epic bracers at 40. Yeah Iâd love them too but I strongly doubt it will be the case. Maybe phase 3.
Youâre going off topic and evading the question. Letâs get back to it shall we or are you admitting defeat by your deflection ? yer thought so.
I repeat, you are the one that insists it is not Epics, or Rep or anything else that might benefit you as to why ppl should do premades. They should do it for the as you say " challenging gameplay" and dispense with any rewards.
Alternate reality indeed.
Donât worry, at some point it will be only premade vs premade left ![]()
Zede take your pills, getting old must suck.
