Cos Alliance speaks like chickens
a easier solution is what they already have, no trade whisper communication between factions but say is allowed.14/11/2018 14:25Posted by TelriemWouldn’t an easy solution be to automatically turn on faction specific language when entering into PvP and in the open world have it turned off?
this mean if someone does start being a !@# you can just walk away.
So many other mmos allow cross faction communication and no harassment has come from it.
RP reason: reasons
Real reason: PvP

Because Blizzard believe they’re our parents in charge of our education and as such wanted to prevent players calling each other mean things.
Honestly this is so Anglo-Saxon. Big sigh.

The language barrier is a bit silly from an in-world perspective. "Common" is an actual language spoken by pretty much all evolved races, which they frequently do in the novels and cinematics across factions.
The ingame barrier is a mechanic, nothing more.

Why would i even communicate with a brainless orc who follows sylvanas(enemy of life) and starts a war now to avoid a future war. Nty. We are at war boys, what communication. Take no prisoners, kill them all. Show them no mercy.
Why do orcs speak english? Why do trolls sounds like black people? Why do weirdos like draeneis fox dudes and sneks can speak english but russians cant? There is a lot of question..

This has just made me realise she literally started a BIG !@# war to avoid a war and because her main goal is to stay Alive. This doesn’t make sense to me.
I mean the Leaders can communicate very well between both faction, why not us, I don't know.
I would love to be able to speak with the other faction, especially with female human =(
For the same reason I don't speak Chinese, Russian or Japanese (in fact name any Asian language and I won't be speaking it).
Just because you "share" a world does not mean you will understand every language spoken on said world.

True. Mandarin (Chineese close realted dialects) is the most spoken language of the world, Spanish is second and English first on third place. If you count second language in English is still nr 2 as far as I know.
But how many of us know even how to say Hi in Chineese?

Should have been "你好".... Using the latin version of the word does not count :P.

But, but using that Eulalia wouldn't have understood me I guess. So we are running circle here, how can we all understand each other :^)
Every race in game speaks its own language and a orcish (H) / human (A).
Sole reason being they speak eithe orcish/human languages is that they are set as "core" language of their factions.
Our leaders may be able to speak language of opposite faction since they might need it. Like Baine speaking with Anduin within letters.
But we, foot soldiers do not need to know it and as a 100% horde/alliance enthusiasts we do not feel the need to learn it.
Futhermore, if we don't know how to speak it then we cannot slip the info to the enemy when tortured.

Good thinking but they will find torturers that speak your language...

Amma torture that troll, just gimme opportunity. Belive me he will talk on our language as soon as he will see hot iron at his face.
Because there's hundreds of different languages? An orc learning common, a language that most Alliance races speak, would be like a person from Finland learning English.14/11/2018 14:00Posted by ShebTo be fair, we have all been living in the same world in real life. Most people can't speak more than 1 language either.
+ in the BFA cinematics, they spoke with each other.

But we, foot soldiers
Excuse you? We aren't foot soldiers since TBC. We've killed undead, void creatures, dragons, demons, old gods, elemental lords and two actual titans. None of those could've been achieved if we were mere foot soldiers.
