Why is asmongold hated?

I think he is entertaining and makes good points and his interview with Ion was really good.

He’s not hated, he’s mostly liked. People who dislike him are more vocal, and to be fair he used to be an immature idiot, now he just plays a character of himself. Asmongold grew up a lot, that’s why Blizzard gave him an interview.

Personally I like him a lot, he’s very entertaining and when the topic is serious he can cut through the crap to boil things down pretty well.

A great and insightful man that gets misunderstood. People hate and fear those they don’t understand

The thing with Asmongold is that it is like with all People on the Planet. Some will like you, some will not. Not at any point there was a Human that was liked by everyone.

Asmongold says sometimes true things in “don’t mince words”. And some people can’t handle that much of direct choice of words.

He speaks his mind and because he doesn’t cater to Etiquette or more “socially acceptable” terms and expressions, some People can’t stand him. Which is ok. No one forces them to like him.

But the people actively hating him, even making up some weird, unconnected Conspiracy Theories are the real Problem. They have lost track over their own behavior and that is why you probably see Players expressing very strong dislike towards him.

The average age on WoW is pretty high. Most people are in their 30s and therefore are required to work. People don’t like having to work so when they see someone who became a millionaire by “reacting” to videos they become jealous. There is nothing more to this. They mask the jealously by accusing him of being racist or sexist or whatever term they can think of but it all just boils down to jealousy.

He once said “Being homophobic is kinda gay”, therefore contradicting himself and then hated by the whole LGBT+ community.

He’s hated mainly because his community has a lot of children in it who think it’s their mission to send hate to people he criticizes (nothing is wrong with criticism, but they don’t know that it seems). They give him a bad rap and it’s a shame.

I used to despise him, the way he acted just wasn’t my cup of tea. But past 2 years or so, he’s definitely become a lot more likable, and genuine.

He used to encourage a toxic atitude among his fans, such as spitting on people with store-bought mounts.
But he seems to have mellowed out a lot, especially after the passing of his mother.

You can be hated by the whole community for that?!

I know like 4 gay people and they make jokes like that day in and day out.

I know loads of gay people and my mother’s best friend is a trans male I’ve known all my life, they also make jokes like this all the time. The people who get mad over everything and like to talk about “community” are not the norm, they are just very loud about it.

Which is what percentage of the general population?

A lot more people are gay/bisexual than people will let on, trust me. Even those “happily” married men lol. You’re Serbian though, and I understand the homophobia runs deep in their culture due to their beliefs.

Speaking as a “B” of the LGBTQAI+ “community” this could not be more wrong.

He is alright. People just have a distorted image of him. People who clearly never watched his videos and stream.

There are way more toxic youtubers out there that Blizz gives interviews to. Cough T cough

Sounds like wishful thinking and not an actual answer. I am not serbian, not sure why you would think that, but sure, there are many places where these kind of things are not as tolerated as in the west.

I agree with your statement.
