What do you know about that? Probably what was presented to you as true, but the reality is completely different. It has always come down to a few idiots who run countries, external influences and interests, artificial groups that do business for them and make intolerance, and of course they all profit nicely from that. Ordinary people were never interested in that and they just wanted it all to end as soon as possible. In any case, things have changed quite a bit since then.
Btw our Prime Minister is a lesbian, practically the second most important person after the President, and she has been doing her job for a very long time and successfully. I think that speaks enough about Serbia’s attitude towards LGBT people.

Havn’t really looked into it that far, mostly just from topics such a these but they’re an angry bunch sometimes. But if true that just adds to him telling his fans to spit on people which was enough reason for me to never go out of my way to know more about the guy.

Bre i know alot of gay guys from serbia but also very very Homophobic serbs. The younger ones are hc homophobics and the old ones for sure (ofc i dont know all serbs)

The older generations in some areas are still lagging behind, although I think it is more or less the case everywhere when it comes to them. Young or middle-aged people are definitely different, and these young homophobes are just homophobic over the internet. I am straight and I know a lot of gay people (there are many of them in Serbia) who have never had a single problem in their lives.

The Serbian government (including President Vučić, citing the wording of Article 62 of the Constitution) has consistently blocked same sex marriage and there are no legal same sex union alternatives.
There were legal challenges to prevent Ana Brnabic becoming Prime Minister, because of her orientation.
Within a month of Brnabic and her partner having a child, a law was passed by the Serbian government to ensure that couples had to leave Serbia for artificial insemination if LGBT+.
Health Minister Zlatibor Loncar imposed a ban against anyone with a “history of homosexual relations during the last five years” from donating “reproductive cells” in Serbia for artificial insemination, in vitro fertilization, or even for laboratory tests.

Alcohol lowers inhibitions, so you get to hear a lot of genuine opinions vocalised by drunk people, at parties…although I’m mostly there for the music.

Nope, they were just really good at brushing unpleasant stuff under the carpet…which is why the younger generations, are having to deal with the feral Boomer legacy.
