Why is BM hunter recommended as the beginner friendly ranged spec for Arena/SS? Asking as a PVP amateur :)

Asking a player who is just gettin into the basics of pvp. I know that their damage is all instant and they get to keep having pressure on enemies even when stunned due to their pets. But how are there more new player friendly than specs like Demo Lock, Balance Druid or even Frost Mage for a new player who have better defensives? Also how is one supposed to learn kiting having in mind that the majority of melee lobbies with a lot of gap closers in low ratings? In addition, I myself have the bad habit of getting close to enemies when fighting because of playing majorly melee characters in WoW and I guess I’m not going to be the only one doing so.

Demo lock casts quite alot now a days, balance druid n frost mage arent hard to play in the context of just dealing damage, with those classes you are however expected to provide a ton of utility aswell as multi tasking where as with hunter you cant be interrupted n for both BM n MM you have pretty much 2-3 buttons you just repeatedly press in whatever order you want without being negatively impacted by it.

Both MM n BM but mainly BM also suffers very little from getting focused as it wont impact their damage at all since they pretty much play like a ranged melee.

How much do frost mages differ in utility compared to hunter? Excuse me if I’m wrong but as far as I know frost mage is the least reliant on sheeping compared to the other two mage specs, while on hunter, whatever the spec you have to utilize traps well, all of which are skillshots. Also, even if bm damage isn’t impacted, won’t they still be focused when they can be blown up so easily?

In shuffle you are often the target. I dont know why someone says we arent, but we are. Bgs however, you can freecast as hunter how ever you like as long as you respect your range. Both mage and hunter are solid choices. Bm damage is all instant while moving so it’s seen as noobfriendly

i want to see new player setup cross cc on his own on demo by casting fear on heal and command pet to stun kill target same time

or even doing the pet management that is required of these not to mention all the 123 macro you do for the vast ammount of cc this spec has, i wouldnt put bm and demo in same is rly not the same

true, any hunter just gets focused in any content tho. lil defensives compared to all other meta right now who can easily rotate something endlessly or even provide walls else for their teammates

anybody who go on ww,arms, ret instead the hunter on spec x is a fool, even arms has so much healing now its ridiculous its like hybrid top of all its defensives

BM hunters damage is from the pet, which in turn lets you focus more on the real stuff like landing a trap

thats why BM hunter is recommended as a starter pvp class

you will get focused so you just kite and try to survive while your pet does the work

BM hunter has built in instant damage, instant cc, pseudo-immunity and passive mortal strike.

because u can smash ur face on the keyboard and still get a kill.
U can cast while moving, have pets and have a 2 button combo that can kill a mage.
No surprise are more and more hunters in BGS and the arena. Next time you see stupid people in the world think that there is a high possibility one of them plays Hunter.

Hit 2k in Solo Shuffle by just placing traps under my feet and waiting for any melee that runs to me to trigger them. As MM you really don’t need to actually do any crazy trap plays, just put a trap under yourself and stand near it, or a soon as a melee gets to you throw a trap at your feet.

Hunter is strong into double caster, strong into 1melee, you only have problems with double melee. So it really ain’t in a bad spot. And you totally one shot every single mage you meet. If there is a mage always go mage.

As a BM even with double melee you just run around pressing 1-2-3 and never stop running cause all of your spells are instant.

Hunter is really easy to hit 2k+ rating with in Solo Shuffle.

i had mm in my lobby with mage and arms in enemy team, the mm said “go warrior?” and it was at that moment i knew he was 0-6

BM Hunter is one of the easiest classes to play.
Really fun though!
Just the fact everything is instant, no need to cast and you have non-stop range damage.
Still to be a good hunter you need to know how to kite and trap properly.
It also has fewer key binds compared to other classes.
