Why is classic levelling so fun?

I can’t stand levelling in Retail, I am at the moment trying to level another Rogue and Paladin in my Retail account and I can’t bring myself to play for more than 1 hour every few days tops, but with Classic I could chill and level all day.

Because every single thing you do is meaningless if not the pursuit of rapid XP. You don’t need to keep up with professions, learn your spells, make, modify or look for better gear pieces. Everything begins at Endgame. Levelling has become an obstacle, not an experience.

Easy question to answer, the community!
I’m playing HC and it’s only the community that keep me playing.
playing in Retail is lonely, wonderful game but the community is terrible, I’ve recently joined a social guild in Retail but no one talks lol.
I fell I’m playing on my own half the time, I asked a simple question through chats and I get completely ignored.

Classic leveling is as fun as doing my dishes while someone keeps submerging the clean ones in garbage and handing them back to me in real time.

I have a perfect solution for you then, just dont no one is forcing you to play classic. Just stay away and let those of us who actually like it have our fun and let people say something nice on the forums for once.

Its simple. Leveling in Classic is an immersive adventure.

I personally do not play Dragonflight and consider myself a “Vanilla Andy”, since I kinda never left the game. Went from original Vanilla to a hiatus, to pservers until Era.

Therefore, I refrain from making comments about Dragonflight, since I just do not know anything about it. I have not watched a single video of the game if I am completely honest with you. Have zero idea really.

So it baffles me you show up here and show a level of knowledge about Vanilla that can easily equal mine regarding Dragonflight.

Btw, your post did not make me want to play Dragonflight. I will also not watch any videos. You did not make it sexy mate.

@OP Classic has a “rythm” where it goes up and down. In retail “rythm” never goes down, once you finished a quest, you get another one which is a “go to waypoint on the minimap and come back”.
There is no “rest” between pulls, no travel time, no time spent “searching” for a quest’s goal, you are flooded with money and gear to the point it feels meaningless, etc.
