If you are not affliction (lets say destro):
2 second cast
half the damage of your immolate
Doesn’t benefit from various multipliers (for example the one that boosts fire damage) and doesn’t grant you anything like soul shard generation.

Like why? What’s even the point? Just to copy classic? In classic even for destro corruption did more damage than immolate and you could put 5 talent points in first row of affli tree and make it instant.

You could also ask why we got Ritual of Doom back, they can keep this spell and give us more survivability.

only useful thing we got in sl was circle rest was like socks for christmas , y u can use them at least to get a spell reflect off( curse of weakness ) , but in the end that was it rest gets deleted with a global

It is fun, but not useful it should be removed forever.

Fel Flame is way better and offers more utility, increase dmg of shadowbolt and bring it back.

We don’t need Ritual of Doom, it’s completely useless. Every other demon is better for us.

Very relatable as a Mage.

Between double immunity, invisibility, threat dumps and the best group buff in the game I’m almost lost for what to press next.

It’s actually the only good flavor spell since you don’t need to waste space on your action bar for it.
