It makes no sense to me, is there any other class that has their self-healing nerfed in pvp? Yet rogue’s Crimson Vial isn’t nerfed in pvp. Also why isn’t spriest shadowmend also nerfed in pvp? With Intangibility spriest also gets a 50% self-heal in pvp, and they cast shield on self and recharge it with damage. I just don’t understand this balance that many other classes are allowed to have self-heal as dps but DK isn’t. It feels bad playing a melee class with no defensives, especially as a class with no mobility like rogue and DH so you can’t escape when you get focused.
class design/balance teams were crunched down to 1 single team in BFA
and then fired start of shadowlands
(most likely)
It took so much time to have them unnerf it slightly yet they gave almost every class the mortal strike effect which is why it feels bad to use DS.
DS is fine in PvP. With 252 conduit you have ~10.5% minimum healing, which is not bad at all. Most of the guys just don’t know how and when to press DS.
I healed 25-35k/deat strike. You can do this too, you just need to press it after you take some good damage
If u healed themsekf by 35К death strike - means u twice dead if your healer would be cc-d.
P.S. It was nerfed, cuz it was nerfed. Also DK pre-season start nerfs is fine for this game. They need 1 year to unnerf DS to level not wasting of rune ability type.
I have 63k HP + Fleshcraft. That was my max. On average, while taking heavy damage, the heal is around 18-25k
If it wasn’t, dks would not die in battlegrounds/casual content.
It they’d be on par with what druids currently do.
