Stuff like remixes and plunderstorm should be global. thats just an odd desicion of wow devs to do
And we have Legion Remix 1 day “longer” than NA…
Just think of NA as testing for us EU for any issues that crop up, which has been plenty.
Timezones? It wouldn’t make sense to release at the same time
Weird take when majority of games do.
No big deal as we are not “connected” at all in WoW.
It’s more like a half a day later. US maintenance starts at 7AM PT so it’s 16 CEST, Would you like the game to go down at 16? It’s planned to be over at 3PM PT or midnight CEST. That’s peak time for playing. Our maintenance is 3am to 11.
But still why does it need to be same time? You don’t compete with US players on anything. None of those events have anything we haven’t seen before.
It also means any immediate bugs/glitches are subjected (and hopefully corrected) by NA players before it goes live on EU servers. A slight delay in releasing content is potentially to our benefit.
Let the septics beta test it first
I wish we never had Legion in the first place.
I’d imagine its to reduce the amount of downtime should any issues occur, if they fixed issues on the NA client before it released for us they could have it patched so that we don’t get the same issues.
Because the Legion Remix is being launched alongside with Patch 11.2.5, and in order to apply a patch, they have to bring the servers down, and in order to bring the servers down, they need to do it during times where it will impact the least amount of players.
We get everything, except expansion releases, one day later. That’s because of the maintenance schedule. Just be glad you’re not Korean or Chinese, they get it on Thursdays.
Weird that the frontpage on battle.net is telling us EU people it’s live, and it’s not actually live. I was excited to start playing it right now… but yeah, it’s always like that… Just make it Global? Like… c’mon…
The battlenet launcher even states the release date is October the 7th. Imagine being a new player and cant figure out why stuff isnt playable yet. This is why they should add a EU Battlenet launcher with actual EU dates! Imagine living in New Zealand, it is almost the 9th of october before stuff actually releases there.
Make things globally playable or get EU launchers with dates that are actually EU dates.
They run for the exact same length between US and Eu.
Nobody is getting anything extra.
My Launcher says “Legion Remix Starts 8th October”.
Maybe change in the settings the language version from en-US to en-UK
Cause different time zone, but does it really matter
For demonstrational purpose
Time in helsinki finland 01:57:00
Time in new york usa 18:57:00
Wouldnt make much sense anything happent at same time if there is 5 hour time difference, if wish to consider more related earth and its continents then think about this, there is spring somewhere in earth when we are in winter and the earth is not really flat either.
There is a time for everything, but not a common time for the whole earth. Even with all the above considered I would prefer if we had combined na + eu forum for this game but release times should stay as they are.
Yeah so annoying watching people playing it and I can’t
Why does this always surprise people? US has always been a day ahead of EU with patches, events, weekly resets ect. Unless Blizzard specifically announce a global launch, like with expansions, this is to be expected, and always has been.
Technically EU is 18 hours after US. Plus the psyche takes several hours to implement in the US and is much more quicker for EU - so that’s twelve hours after US effectively gets it.
All in all EU will have Lemix 12 hours after US but will keep it for 18 hours more - we’re better off.
