Why is gift wrap so limited

You can’t use that on a stackable item
You can’t use that on a bag
You can’t use that on a unique item ( tried sending torghast legendary vessel )

The only one that makes sense is the soulbound one

I wish it would change too. I’d like to be able to wrap anything. It’s just for fun.

I’ve never used it - what actually can you gift wrap?

I’ve been given pets and mounts wrapped up

I’d happily gift wrap my teammates instead of shielding them. Too bad it won’t absorb any damage. :joy:

Ah, ok. Definitely makes sense that they’d expect people to gift those, but it does seem odd for it to be so restrictive.

A friend made me a shard bag for my warlock and wanted to wrap it, didn’t work. She wanted it to be a surprise.

oh, cause you are soulbound!
you dont share your grovi with others!

A Grovi is for life, not just for gifts

Because you were planning to make big money selling your 3000 giftwraps for 500 gold each after the event ended. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Also, why have different vendors with different colour gift wrap? If you went to a shop to get gift wrap… they should have all the colours… not “sorry we only do red and yellow here… if you want green you need to go to X vendor in the Dwarven district”…

Because Blizzard likes to limit the fun and enjoyment a player can get out of the game. Sad.

I also discovered there is now new gift wrap, presumably from Oribos that appears as if your presents are in orbs. I was given some items this month for my birthday in them. I didn’t know it was gift wrap when I first got the mail :gift:

people where selling random gifts and it basically amounted to gambling which is prohibited in the game. Sometimes there was a good item and sometimes a poor item. I remember reading about this in an actual paper magazine ! Back in the day.
