On the first day of the expansion?? When highest pve gear available is like 57x. 626 is like almost max lv pve gear which nobody will have access to for a month.
Crafted pvp gear should scale up to 585 and honor up to 595 or something then we have bloody token gear and the conquest gear which should be the 605-620 or something.
It is already impossible to do anything pvp related without honor gear. There is a 50 ilvl difference which is huge.

Haven’t got that far yet… but isn’t PvP ilvl split so it’s lower ilvl in PvE and the higher ilvl in PvP itself? I’m wondering if what you’re looking at is the PvP ilvl.
Which is as it should be, as PvP gear should be much more powerful than PvE gear in PvP. And it’s so easy to grab a set of PvP gear. In PvP the important ilvl gap is that between Honour and Conquest as that’s what seperates the power level of casual EBG / Warmode scubs like me and proper PvPers. It should be noticable but not significantly so imhi.
I know how it works but how is this related? If you are in warmode and someone jumps you with a full honor gear it will scale up to 626 while you are 570.
No it should not be. The pvp gear should be the same scaling as the maximum available pve gear at that time. It is just a fairy tale people think pvp should be higher. No it should not be.
As I said. crafted pvp gear 580. Honor gear 590. Bloody token 605. Conquest 620 and elite 630. This is how it should scale to.
I don’t care about the pve ilvl of the pvp gear. It is intentionally low so pve players don’t have to farm pvp gear for pve power. All this is about the scaling of pvp ilvl.
The point of separating pvp gear from pve gear is that you don’t have to do the other if you are not into that. I.E. If you are a pve player you aren’t supposed to feel forced to farm pvp gear for pve power and vice versa. If you want to pvp you shall get the gear from pvp. All it is about the way you get the gear from. If you want to do pvp you get the gaer from pvp activities. If you want to do pve you get the gear from pve activities. There is zero reason why pvp gear scales 50 ilvl above pve gear in pvp. Makes it impossible to kill anyone that is fully honor geared for someone that has gear from pve. They should be around the same.
And on top of that you can upgrade honor gear pve ilvl as well but you can’t do anything about pve gear being effective in PVP.
so dont be in pvp mode if you dont enjoy pvp ?
There are wqs that give reputation/gold/resource so even if you don’t want to pvp you should do it. Also what is there to enjoy to kill people 50 ilvl lower? Nothing. You should seek hard fights to learn from. anyone that 50 ilvl lower than you due to pvp ilvl scales to 626 there is zero chance you can kill it. By default the target has almost twice as much hp.
As I said the difference should be the way you acquire the gear. There is no reason pvp gear should be 40-50 ilvl higher than what you can get from pve.
and this is why game sucks, people crying about PVP in PVP mode. seems like skill issue
They cry because gearing sucks and they can’t beat anyone that is fully honor geared. This is just a joke not skill issue. if you are somewhat decent there is no way you can kill anyone that is 50 ilvl above you. The enemy has to be afk or something to do so.
it is literally called Warmode, it is a mode where you agree to Openworld Pvp
if you want the rewards there, just suffer, or farm Pvp gear, its so easy to QQ on everything
if you dont want to do pvp, in a “pvp mode” u just dont deserve the Rewards
or do i go into the Forum and cry about Players what dont invite me into a Mythic + when i wear full Pve gear?
Easy fix, go Que Arathi Ai Brawl Tap gm, or lm, stay afk there for 3-4 Minutes, and enjoy your free honor, invest 3-4 Hours into it, and u get your full pvp Gear.
People still fail to understand the issue this is crazy.
To clear up a misconception everyone seems to be having right now. Taking part in either PVE or PVP activities result in getting that kind of gear right?
If you only love pvp you do pvp you get the pvp gear from doing pvp.
If you only love pve you do pve you get the pve gear from doing pve.
Now tell me why PVP gear should be 50 ilvl higher? on top of that you can upgrade honor gear (PVE ilvl) so that also goes up while you can’t do anything to PVE gear to be effective in PVP.
You as a PVP player with farmed PVP ger you can use your PVP gear in PVE just fine but the low PVE gear is useless in PVP because it is 50 ilvl lower. Doesn’t seem fair. For me PVE player I have to wait 2-3 weeks to be able to get PVE gear from PVE that is 620 or so to match your gear.
So then don’t participate in pvp if you like pve? This is a non-issue. Ppl who like pvp will get pvp gear, ppl who don’t, won’t. 
Because pve gear, is good for pve, and pvp gear good for pvp.
if this is only the case in pvp and not in pve, theres nothing wrong about it
eh… the stats on the pvp gear are really terrible, i farmed pve gear aswell when i do pve content like heroic dungeons or open world quests/rares because the difference is still noticeable when it comes to stats etc, and i aint gonna invest so much honor to upgrade my pvp gear what does nothing in pve
because pve gear shouldnt be intended to be as good as pvp gear in an pvp environment, and the high level difference is just, because we got “pvp gear” earlierer than expected
If you could have bought the pvp gear at the start of the season, the difference wouldn’t have been so big
nothing against u, but like i said, u can do Arathi comp stomp, its a bg where u play against pve Ai mobs, u dont need gear there, u just win every 3-4 Minutes this bg, and u will get honor for it more than in a normal bg in the time
so just invest a few hours and u have a full set of pvp gear

No, you cannot use your 626 gear inpve because it will not be the pvp ilvl as it would in arenas, bgs and while fighting other players.
cost too much time, its easier to farm the gear in pve instead. and also have better stats nobody would do that
also most of the pvp gear have versa mastery/ haste/vers these stats are terrible in pve
You can use it will just be scaled down. You can upgrade the pve ilvl of a pvp gear too so it goes up just the same as pve gear is upgradable.
There, you answered your own question. It’s scaled down. I see no issues here. Pvp gear is worse in pve. Pve gear is worse in pvp. System works as intended.
