Why is Instance Lockout Account Wide

I’m farming the insane title on my warlock… When i hit cap, i can’t do stuff on my alts when im locked for extended period of times.

Because of bots.

Sigh. This is annoying.

So are bots.

And yet the bots don’t care about lockdown and still do their thing.

Bots have the same restriction as everyone else. It is just that the ones running the bots have tons and tons of accounts.

True, but not all bots farm instances do they? Some farm battlegrounds… Other mine and gather herbs. Or farm overworld mobs.

No they dont. But they are not related to this topic.

If only there was a way to like… Ban the botters without impacting actual players wanting to run a dungeon more than a few times per hour.
But no, Dottie, of course that is impossible.
You so right, as always.

It’s not that it’s impossible, Blizzard just doesn’t want to.

This is change is truly crap when you’re trying to level alts inbetween farms… Such a sad change.

Another change that ruins it for normal players.

I don’t see it.
You farm instances until cap, then you relog to your alt and do some quests. It literally facilitates that play style. Unless by “level alts” you mean “boost other people’s alts for real money”.

So botters pay for more accounts and to stop the ‘dme jump runs’ meme.

They tried to punish bots but instead it punishes players

No, they didn’t tried to punish botters that hard. They just wanted to show players that measures are taken, when in reality Blizzard just forced botters to make more account and pay for more subs and boosts, without really blocking old ones.
