Why is Mechagnome hyper organic light originator Utterly useless?

Haven’t seen many people complaining nor many posts on it. I’m levelling my mechagnome mage and i’m finding the racial for the clones completely useless. They don’t do damage, they autoattack so pvp is useless, they don’t remove threat for levelling and i can’t see it being useful in end game content.
Maybe a slight boost to running away from some random mob?

I’m just confused as to why it exists, anyone found it good at all?

I took it off my action bars. I can’t figure out a use for it and, despite what the tooltip suggests, it doesn’t offer any kind of decoy assistance as it’s obvious which one the player is. Worthless racial.

This is why I went Monk. There’s five of me with Storm Earth & Fire.
Turns out though, it’s not even worth the GCD.
We have a stat boost racial so I can understand why they don’t do much damage but they really are just a flavour thing.
Would be nice if they actually took some aggro and ‘confused your foes’ like the tooltip suggests

it’s for pretending to be a rich multiboxer that can afford multiple wow subs for a brief moment on a 2 minute 30 sec cooldown
