Why is pyroblast damage so low @devs

pyroblast is supposed to be the main spender of this spec. The whole spec is underperforming in PVE and pvp and if you look at details all of your damage is ignite. Feels like the main spender hits like a generator. Change soon pls?

Well, don´t forget we also have this thing called Living Bomb. Another great 25 % boost this week, so after I tried it out it did about 1.5 - 2 % of my overall (allready low) dmg, an increase from … eh 1.5 - 2 % of my damage before reset and tuning.

I guess “they” working with fire mage but it goes VERY slow …
With this fixing-tempo fire mage have catched up to reach around middle-pack of dps in time for next expansion.

No seriously, this is totally not okej.
Have to start asking if those who work with this even check and compare what is going on? I mean mages, and special fire mage, are supposed to be a real dmg class. Like some others we aren´t hybrid-class. We only there for do dps, not tank, not heal, not to look bad.

Now ppl laugh at you if you joining as fire mage … That is a sad thing going on.

The rate we spam Pyros at is insane and really quite fun, but the damage is a joke.

I can’t even come close to other players, never mind the other Mage specs.

on the one hand, im glad arcane is getting some love. Fire has been on the pedestal for way too long, but what they have done to it atm is terrible, no spec deserves to be like that

I can´t help imagine getting such insane proc-spams, like fire-mages Pyros can have, with any other class, with their most heavy ability … like 20 instant "bam-bam-bam-bam-Baaaam !!! " And all these would turn out to be like throwing warm butter on a wall ?

Any other class would totally melt any foe and impress every player around.
When fire-mage do this, in each and every fight, people ask him / her if it isn´t time to give up the spot to someone else.
:joy:

Are you sure about that?
NEW expansions means new abilities being the main ability potentially.

I just did a NW +3 to give Fire a proper test run.

The boss damage is great, the burst is great and the mobility is fantastic, but when you have that downtime without Combustion, which is basically every other pack, the damage is pathetic. You don’t really notice it when you’re on a boss or a chunky mob pack, but when you start a pull with no Combust, it just sucks, plain and simple.

I ended up ping-ponging between top dps by a mile and 25% behind the tank, with about 15%ish less damage overall than I would with Frost (not done any M+ with Arcane yet).

If they could increase our non-Combustion damage by 30%, while keeping Combustion damage the same, we’d be on to a winner. Maybe they could just add that onto one of our talents.

That’s what I wanted to say, combustion downtime is what’s pulling us down.
