Why is Siege of Orgrimmar skip quest not coming?

Before the Dragonflight expansion pack was released, they said they would bring a skip mission for this raid. Has it been forgotten? Tusk of Mannoroth’s drop rate is 0.3% according to wowhead data. It takes almost 40-45 minutes to finish this raid and reach the last boss. The 0.3% drop rate for 45 minutes of effort really isn’t fair at all. I’m aware this is a valuable transmog and the drop rate is very low. But it’s really ridiculous to say that players should take 45 minutes to try it every time. It’s been years since this content, please be a little compassionate so we can farm it. It will probably take years for us to get it with a rate of 0.3% anyway.

If an official sees the issue, please bring the skip quest they said they will bring for the Siege of Orgrimmar. Thanks.

Yeah no this is fair.

Ultra-low drop rates are boring. Players with them didn’t “earn” it, they’re just lucky.

Put it behind a long grindy quest chain like Thunderfury if you want, but don’t make it a “probably won’t drop in your lifetime” scenario.

Once again, you don’t have to clear the entire raid every time for the Tusks. Once is enough, then extend lockouts every week and just kill garrosh.

I don’t fully understand what you mean. Will I clear the raid up to garrosh as mythic and heroic with 1 character per week, and then invite my other characters into the group with the help of someone else and kill only the garrosh?

I need someone every time for this and I don’t have any friends in the game. Thanks for the alternative advice, but the skip quest would be fairer to everyone. People are already selling the saves of these raids for a few thousand gold. Why should we give them gold?

It’s 100% soloable and you only need to clear it once. If you get stuck somewhere just add me and whisper me in game. I can help you finish the process or offer the lockout for free.

I don’t know how to ‘extend raid lockout’ with saved toon. I understand everything else :smiley:

A: A player may reactivate an expired instance lock by opening up the Raid Information pane, selecting the appropriate expired instance, and clicking on the “Reactive Raid Lock” button.

Press O on your mage or leather user with the save afyer Wednesday reset and go top right raid info ,find SOO with garrosh alive, press it and extent raid. Then make custom group and join fast and inv yourself fast by having 2 wow instances running and press reconnect (rather than logging out -20second)

Thanks guys, I wish I had known this earlier. I haven’t even tried it for years because I’m too lazy to clean up that raid every time. :frowning:

I was really pleased when they said they’d be adding a skip but it does not seem to have appeared yet. Probably not a high priority at present, which is a shame.

I have finally got my mount now so at least I don’t have to farm the place any more.

This is one mount I won’t be farming. SoO is just too long with too many annoying fights (including one I struggle to solo, spoils).
And the Share lockout trick won’t help for the mount as it drops from Mythic…

I was very lucky, a friend had been clearing the raid and just inviting me to the last boss. On a paladin it’s a lot of running in that place. So I was very grateful.

Like Puny said I don’t think it’s high priority, just like white and grey transmog came late. Pretty sure they’re still busy patching up the trader’s post, and then they’re on a schedule for 10.0.7.
