Feels like an arbitrary time gating system to me. There’s nothing rewarding or meaningful to a system that you can only interact with by waiting.
It’s actually made me not care about farming Echoes, because I know that even when I get enough echoes for what I want, I might need to wait up to 4 weeks to buy it, and if the corruption I want is on sale but I don’t foresee me getting enough Echoes in time, I just don’t bother.
I’m going to play devils advocate here and tell people to stop complaining. They’ve taken out a majority of the RNG mechanic and let you buy the corruptions you want, instead of going full MMO style and making you roll the dice for it, which was a very small chance on the most popular corruptions.
Just be happy you can buy them instead of focusing on the rotation. This is why we can’t have nice things, because once they introduce some semblance of convenience, the entitled player base cries out for more. I’m sick of it.
Ah Blizz logic, make a system so utterly terrible, listen to the complaints for a while then partially fix it and tell people to be grateful. The xpac is pretty much over, there is no logical reason why it is on a rotation. It is just Blizzard are incapable of giving people what they ask for, they always have to twist it in some way in a stupid belief of saving face.
Trust me, it’s not just blizz that does this. PvPers can buy BiS PvE gear from a special vendor in ESO, but it’s on a weekly rotation also, so you never know what you’ll get. You could get the same garbage set 4 weeks in a row (yes it has happened).
That’s just how MMOs are - they’re grindy, and won’t give you everything you want on a silver platter.
I’m not saying I enjoy or agree with it, but that’s just how they are.
No, nothing to do with a ‘silver platter’. Why isn’t the azerite or the essence vendor on a rotation if that is the logic. It is just Blizzard BS as usual
I can deal with grinding and RNG, that’s always been the nature of the game. But if you add on top of that a waiting time of few weeks for no obvious reason I take issue.
Waiting is not good content, and calling it out has nothing to do with entitlement. They thought the corruption system had too much RNG so they decided there needed to be a vendor, but it was poorly implemented. We pay a monthly sub+ a full-game price for every expansion, them fixing poorly implemented systems and making the game decent isn’t a benevolent favor, it’s a standard.
Because corruptions are objectively broken and Blizz wanted to space out how broken you can make your character, so even more casual players have the time to farm up enough resources to break their character and god I hate the corruption system so much I don’t even do visions anymore.
