I’ve only done ruby hall and the centaur place but they’re basically just a copy of the world map? Even SL had unique dungeon layouts but it seems Blizzard can’t even be bothered to make the effort anymore. Makes me wonder where all that money is going if they can’t even hire a few devs to create unique dungeons.
Not sure if it’s actually laziness, because they did create lots of locations in DF in general.
Probably more that they like the idea of a “dungeon” being more like a MoP scenario where some story and fighing takes place in an otherwise normal part of the world.
Makes me wonder why you play this game when the only thing you care about is the number of assets created.

It takes a multidisciplinary team to create a new dungeon.
They are making the mickey with how many open dungeons they do. Most of all i would like then to design dungeons without M+ in mind, it’s clear they do that.
same how Zovaal The Jailer had any similar mechanics like Maiden Of Vigilance from the legion that when you had a bomb, you had to jump to the holes to put the pillar and legion has just knockbacks

Mists was just part of the outdoor area in southwestern ardenweald, instanced.
Necrotic wake was an outdoor area in western bastion, instanced.
Plaguefall was an outdoor area in southeastern maldraxxus, instanced.
Halls of attonement was an outdoor area in eastern revendreth, instanced.
It was only de other side, theater of pain, spires of ascension and sanguine depths that weren’t areas accessible in the world.
There’s literally been 100s of bosses so mechanics are going to be repackaged. If you had encyclopedic knowledge of WoW you’d probably find many, many other instances of that type of mechanic.
It is not laziness. Dungeons should have same layout with open world. This is a better implenentation rather than “isolated instances”.
It’s not lazy it’s part of immersion and world design. Dungeons are connected to the actual world which is something i find to be a really refreshing and fun design choice
Half of Shadowlands dungeons were not open world instances, the other half were.
Maybe if you had quit less of them as a protest, you would have noticed this.
i think they have mostly students with super cheap salary. so there is like zero content and price for this trash is extremely overpriced
