The class fantasy of shaman is that they are Masters of the elements. There are four elements; fire, air, water and earth. Shamans use all of these elements, but each spec focuses more on 1 element than the others. For example we have Fire = Elemental, Air = Ehancement, Water = Restoration. This is very clear if you look at the Ascendant form for each spec, and also the class hall mounts from Legion.
But the element of Earth doesn’t have a spec, or a mount, which makes absolutely zero sense. Not having an earth spec for a shaman is like not having a holy spec for a priest; it is at the core of their class fantasy.
It would fit perfectly as a tank spec, seeing as shaman doesn’t have a tank spec AND earth is known to be tanky (almost every earth totem + earth elemental are tanky/midigate damage etc.). And look at the mobs we’re fighting in Zaralek Cavern, the earth primalists, why not have that for shamans?
I know this idea has been around for years and alot of shaman players want it, I just don’t understand why it isn’t a thing yet.
