I noticed the highest Ilev available for the Alchemist stone is only 385. Why is there no mythic variant available as well for those who raid on higher than normal difficulty?
I don’t mind if I had to farm reagents for a few lockouts, but that there is no option available whatsoever does strike me as strange.
Doesn’t that just render the alchemist stone almost useless on higher end content? What is the logic behind limiting craft-able items like this?
For some weird reason it’s not explained in-game. Unless you follow wowhead or something like that, you have to discover it for yourself. I’m not sure why they just didn’t have them as trained recipies that used the previous trinket as a reagent for the next level. As it is now I wasn’t going to make the 385 trinket since it’s not an upgrade, but I realized that I’d have to after reading this since the 400 one is an upgrade (which I didnt even know existed before now).
If you look into the Unlearned panel, you see what lvl profession you need to have and how to obtain the recipe. It states Discovery: Tidal Alchemist Stone. That indicates that you discover the recipe for Spirited Alchemist Stone while making the Tidal Alchemist Stone.
So it is actually quite clear in game.
But why is there no offhand (or anything else what makes sense) like this for Inscription? Every profession which can craft gear gets BoP raid level gear, except for Inscription…
