I checked that one of my Alliance characters always has 1 more mount than the others, but I couldn’t figure out why. Then I realized that I did the underwater zone quests with one character and the mount was a quest reward. The other characters don’t even appear in the mount tab, only the ones I did the quests with.
Why do you have to do the intro quests with each character separately for this mount anyway?
That mount has never been account shared, and I would guess the reason for it has always been that it’s a progression reward, just as the underwater breathing in that zone is.
If you want an account shared seahorse kill Poseidus (or buy the Subdued Seahorse on AH)
I have them all, I’m just interested in why it’s not account wide.
But with so much power, the legion class hall mount shouldn’t even be included in another character’s mount tab
Blizzard has always had weird ideas on what should and should not be account shared. I still assume the reason for this particular seahorse is that it’s a reward for one specific character’s progress in Vashj’ir to make the rest of the journey easier, just like you don’t start the zone with the ability to breathe under water, but gets it as a quest reward.
As for the class hall mounts: What? They’re only shared among that class, and what power is there to it anyway?
At this stage who cares.
I loved the zone but it’s a lot of hard work. Funnily enough, I was druid suring Cata launch and our guild went to vashj’ir. Being druid I had aquatic form glyphed so never actually used the mount!
Blizzard, apparently. Or maybe they just don’t care to make it account shared. Take your pick.
I think they just don’t care.
