Why is Venthyr still bad?

Like, it’s cool on paper, it absolutley is, you gain stacks by using bilities making your attacks stronger etc.

But why does it have a negative side ?

Why does it STUN and DAMAGE you if it expires ? Who designed this ? No other covenant ability is like this, none, no other covenant ability can negativly impact you.

It needs to be changed.

What do you mean?

If you spend 2 sec idle, the Frenzy overcomes you, consuming 1% of your health per stack, stunning you for 1 sec, and ending.

This? It says that it stuns you only IF you do nothing for 2 seconds, which is not that often tbh. Never run into it once while testing.

I agree that it is a brainless proc though and could be removed like so many other useless things in SL. Yes, I am looking at you conduit energy.

Never had issues with it.

It’s more like a flavour thing.

Yes, exactly that, why is it a thing ? Why does the thing that is supposed to give us more power come with a downside ?

Literally no other covenant ability has even the chance to negativly impact you.

That’s why it’s particularly bad for ferals. A significant part of the feral playstyle is knowing when to wait, let the bleeds do their job, and pool energy for the next set of attacks. Doing nothing for 2 seconds is part of a the normal rotation.

Good point! Never considered feral… But I also think there is alot of hype around venth vs NF and the higher sims on venth are propably only worth it if you play perfectly.

I’ll stick to NF anyways, less stress, less covenant switching chores and also less error prone.

Ravenous Frenzy should be more rewarding for being a ramp up mechanics with a downside effect when played wrong.

Yea, as a Feral you have to use abilities like Stun, Root, Typhoon, Heal etc. to keep the Venthyr ability up.

Which is badly designed, I don’t think anyone can argue against that, I wish it was more impactful, it looks cool to play, and I like the fantasy of the spell, but it does not feel good to play nor give enough to justify it.
