I have played wow for around 15 years.
Always as an orc warrior, or undead mage/priest.
Recently i played Hardcore with a undead warrior dieing in level 59, and then i leveled a new orc warrior to level 60 and embarked in raiding.
It has always bothered me, that i feel like human warriors are so heavily favored.
They have x2 weaponskill specilizations with the majority of weapons to choose from.
I get you cant do anything about it in classic. Back when SoD was announced i was not sure i was gonna play it, i felt like it was on uneven ground in terms of logs/capabilities.
Now i chose to give SoD a try anyways, and due to an interview with the development team where this was adressed i chose to play Troll for the first time.
You on stage explained that SoD was aware of the issue and wanted to adress it in such a way, that it wouldnt matter what race you played. You encouraged us to play whatever race we wanted to, so i chose troll.
Now im looking at my logs, some of them 99’s.
Yet i can see on warcraftlogs that the vast majority of people parsing a clean 100 is either human or orc.
You implemented a epic belt with useless 3 weaponskill.
On my orc hunter, my BiS is a green Axe from a quest, and a BoE blue axe with 25 dps from AH.
Why cant you just eradicate that excruciating, stupid thing from the past and live up to your word.
You have so far not done anything about it, and im not sure i can keep on going if it doesnt change soon.
I could level a new warrior, but im in it to deep with WSG rep etc.
This is just such a non-issue that I can’t even be bothered explaining why.
Go play Retail.

So to me playing the game is striving, parsing, min-maxing etc.
What am i to do on a troll warrior that has effectively 9% soft hit cap (8% +1%), compared to an orc or human with 6% soft hit cap.
Non issue? Sure if you dont care and just play casually.
Non issue? Why not just change it for the better of the few people that pour many many hours into this game and really care.
I play ”Human” retri paladin so i guess have the advantage you speak of.
But i have not gotten Full pre-raid BiS, Just the Items from BFD and the Blood moon weapon.
On my first full clear Gnomer i still hit in the purple logs on every boss.
Point is, It’s not hard to get good logs.
In BFD at the end of the phase i hit the 95-99 on every boss.
I imagine i’ll be there for Gnomer as well i just need some raid loot.
So what youre saying is:
Youre human and have no gear, and have no problem getting purple logs, you just needed the 2h sword which effectively gives you a 3% hit chance advantage due to racial properties, over any other ally race.
Would be fun if you tried the same thing on a dwarf. You would see what i mean, im sure those logs would be a lot less purple.
I have only purple logs too, but what im saying is, that 100’s is impossible, and for my purple logs i have to somewhat sweat.
And the hard reality is, that no matter how hard i try its virtually impossible for me to make a clean 100 on a troll.
Had i been human or orc i can tell you, that i would already be there on 2 bosses.
So i guess your post intentionally or uintententionally just proved my point.
Thanks!
Why is mana still a thing?
Why is casting for a mount still a thing?
Why is casting still a thing?
Why is deadzone still a thing?
Why is gold still a thing?
Why is the game even still a thing?

Was in a raid last night, tho very bad comp, no feral druid and the other paladin… also retri and also human, and on “Pummler” who is pretty much static patchwerk boss.
I still did 80 more dps.
It is all about the gear you have, the consumes you use and also the dismantle enchant.
People seem to forget Vanilla is an RPG game, Classic is an RPG game and since SOD is based on Classic, it too is an RPG game. If you don’t like RPG elements go play retail.
