It’s good if you’re like me and like non standard leveling paths. For example leveling by doing Argent Tournament/Molten Front dailies won’t give you gear, so heirlooms are perfect for such characters. The rested exp is just an added bonus for me.

But even if you do activities giving gear, you earn 1-2 decent pieces per level, and other slots are way behind.
