Why there is no middle point?
There are S++++ classes and the rest it’s c tier
Game is so un fun and clunky when you don’t play a meta spec and get obliterated by people just pveing you down …
they don’t incentivize queing with a decent mmr buff nor they do it with class balance honestly i don’t see why i should even bother keep giving them money
Can someone please explain to me is WoW class/gameplay balancing really that hard or is it they just don’t care at all? Like by no means I’m no programmer or anything remotely close, I know having a perfect balance is impossible, but why does some classes have to be s++++ tier and other classes are dumpster fire? This is the huge problem because Blizzard “knows the best” and they are de-attached from community and they have no idea what’s going in, I don’t even know what to think anymore at this point lol
I mean I made a similar post. I tried some arms, doesnt feel fun when literally some classes has more tools is tankier, does more dmg and majority of them being ranged. Even sub is ranged ish lmao. Crippling poison and hits me from 10 yards while im waddling towards him. Imaigne having to use a charge to reconnect on a rogue. This game haha
And when u do charge he steps someone else xDDD
I’m a programmer by myself and I’m pretty sure that they’re not the ones who are doing the balance, they usually implement the stuff which they are told do so. And changing a few modifiers certainly isn’t the problem here, it’s the lack of interest in the game mode.
I think a lot of it has to do with tier set being timegated or even existing in the first place. Blizz is prolly hesitant to make changes until ppl got their full set, so that the meta is more set in stone, rather than buffing/nerfing stuff now that is gonna be op/balanced later.
But also PvP being neglected in general, as always… Dunno why they never adapted this model of changing stuff regularly by a small % until it feels right, instead of waiting for a big patch to go ham with changes.
Because sets aren’t designed around PvP. Some specs get huge benefit from it (Demo, Boomy, Sub) and some don’t. Outlaw is a good example - if you got 2 or 4 set you actually lose dmg in PvP. Evoker for example has 500 ilvl legendary as Embelishment and that’s why it was played by most teams in AWC.
Also keep in mind that some specs like MM, Affli, H Paladin and DKs are PvE designed so they will never perform in PvP. R Shaman is a good example also of PvP sets always being built around spells you don’t use in PvP.
they make the game for pve since vanil
back in prehistorical era raids didnt have alot mechanics and bosses were mostly tank n’ spank so melee didnt have alot in their toolkit for mobility and in pvp mages and hunters kited classes like warriors to death
in modern wow you have very movement heavy raid and m+ mechancis were people constantly need to avoid something so they give melee classes bloated ammount “get to” movement abilities because it is not fun to play melee if you have no uptime with boss
so in modern pvp were patching the issue created by that with a precog borrowed power for casters and next were tuning casters numbers higher for their instants and making design like boomy good which can just pew pew pew
the root of the problem is that its not a good pvp game its a mmo which it is fine but even that has started to wither alot in retail as we mostly only afk in town in 40min ques and stare netflix on other monitors
and they cant even make this soloq right without it becoming a que fiesta with stupid designs
I mean every season its like that…
blizz will wait for season to “stabilize” then few weeks later you have some specs completly dominating usually one rogue spec is there but we don’t get anything.
Then maybe some nerfs and buffs that somehow make things worse then they are hesitant because of tiersets then tiersets make some stuff even crazier and by the time they do changes the season is already over… then rinse and repeat.
Maybe a tiny exageration here haha. I would say there are a couple of s tiers most specs are kinda a/b tier then a couple that just suck.
It would ofcourse be better if everything was aroubd a tier, strong but with weakness to exploit but that will never happen. There will always be a meta.
there shouldn’t be any sets in pvp, at least tier sets, i hope these will be removed in the near future
Outlaw set is bad really?
Where did you get that info?
i mean thats just not true at all.
90% of the specs are A tier.
Only outliner above that are boomy, demo and sub rogue which are s tier but not unbeatable. Just a bit better.
stuff like dks, mm or outlaw rogue are b tier but also playable. Everything else is A tier.
From healer perspective its similiar. Hpala is bottom tier but everything else is playable.
R shamy’s tier set is generally bad. Even in PvE I almost never think to myself: "Okay I have to set up 3 riptides first (which btw also overheal most of the time) to get this tiny extra heal and an underwhelming one time healing boost when there is massive group dmg going on constantly. Look a Disc’s set bonus in comparison and you’ll get depression…
From Venruki or other youtuber. He talked with Nahj I think. They were talking about sets that once they nerfed sets by 50% it becamse so bad it’s not worth losing stats and in fact it lowers dps.
Rogues have always been able to kite warriors with slows, assa dot kites, good subts stay in charge/melee deadzone to restealth
i agree nerf dh and rogues
The entire problem is that there is no pvp team that would actually actively work on making pvp better. Yes, they randomly throw some % changes from time to time to look like they do something, but thats not going to fix the core problems of pvp and somehow make it a pleasurable experience for ppl.
Feels like they should just remove tier sets from pvp to begin with. Should make early balancing allot easier.
“Why it has to be so unbalanced”
Well… the game is designed and balanced for the people that play it professionally. Blizzard only takes feedback from the 1% (unless they get swarmed on twitch chat) so the game is unbalanced for the rest 99% of the playerbase because the things that make it unbalanced for the 99% are the tools that the 1% need to be the best at the game.
So as i was told in a solo shuffle match by a glad player “Shut up looser and learn the game”
A great time to be a wow player
