Why M+ key starts with 2?

It should start with +1.

Because normal mythics are the +1 :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Everyone calls them +0 though.

I think the confusion comes from people calling them +2 or +3 instead of level 2 and level 3. That’s what the keystone actually states and it makes sense. The base mythic difficulty is level 1 and the next higher one is level 2.

One is infinitely more than zero

Americans don’t understand how indexes and number scales work.

Everywhere else in the world you base a number system or a number sequence from the logic of a grid. Where origo is 0,0 making the starting point on the horizontal level (the base) 0, hence why 1 level above ground level on a house is floor 1, ground floor being floor 0.

But in america, floor 1 off the ground is called the second floor, because they are americans and refuse to do things like normal people, i guess this trend of not conforming to general numeric standards carries over into video games. Hence why M+0 is actually M+1, and they give you an M+2 key.

hmmm that explains so many things. Including their obesity.

Why do people call it BR instead of CR well because people watch popular US based streamers that call it BR in the EU CR has in the past been the standard for the same thing and BR was used in american servers.
The normal standard would have been to call it just mythic and then mythic +2 in the EU but streamers based in US have made it a standard to write +0 in there descriptions and it carries over to our servers from people watching them.

i guess blizzard was thinking that default mythic would be level 1, and then mythic plus starts at 2, but then players went to call defaults +0, but i think it started because of that.

well it is same in Finland, ground floor is floor 1 and then first floor up is 2nd floor. might differ where you live here, but atleast thats what we use.

Just think of m0 as being the first level, it makes more sense that way.

I assume you mean Combat Ress and Battle Res, but I have never seen people use BR for a resurrection, yet.

I guess its the same in League of Legends, when an enemy players are missing from a lane. You write SS in EU (short for missing), but on US servers they go with MIA.

there is no +2s etc, its Mythic level 2, and “+0” is Mythic level 1.

+0 thing is just how community call it

Yeah thats what i said, because the community uses the actual logical way of understanding a number sequence where as blizzard apparently does not.

Well actual logical way of understanding will be +2 is Mythic Level 3 and Mythic level 2 will be +1, but no1 will use it like that

Because at Blizzard, arrays starts at 2 aswell.

And that explains a lot of things.

What are you talking about???

Imagine a two dimensional XY grid: the base level (no key) is on X0,Y0, the next step in that M+ level scale is the position X0,Y1 = +1.

Then a +2 key should be position X0,Y2 = +2 etc.

This is like middle school level mathematics

That really depends if you determine the starting point (normal mythic) as level 0 or level 1.

In your logic it’s level 0. But one could also argue the other way that it should be level 1. I mean our charcters start at level 1 aswell and not on level 0.

I don’t think there’s a definitve right or wrong answer.

But you start with 0 XP and not 1? :stuck_out_tongue:

This is very true too. We do start at lvl 1.

I’m simply basing the Mythic+ scale of the logic that the key is a modifier.

Because M+0 is the same as M+N0, where as the key acts as the modifier for the M+ making the next logical step M+N1.

But whatever
