Why Mag'Har racials are so terrible?

Yea but as I said, it’s not about the numbers and they are not irrelevant. I would rather if racials didn’t exist at all but if they do at least let us all have cool toys.

The worst racial they have is their look, the rest does not matter after that.

It’s really the whole min-max argument isn’t it? If what’s important to you is a fractionally superior character which only stands out in cutting edge content, go for it.

But by the same token, don’t diminish people who choose races for other reasons like cosmetic or lore reasons.

Say what???:rofl::rofl: since I own this char I’ve used the void teleport only once: at the beginning to see what it does.

But you have tmog discounts, that is the best racial.

Tell me about it.
Lost so much gold on my BEs transmogs, that I cringe every time I get a new piece and I need to transmog it.

Best weapon on the game for me was a 2h axe I got from TW vendor, on my BE paladin.

Sell price: 1 copper.
Transmog price: 1 gold.

I just wish I got more gear like that …

Cheers.

Well, that says more about you than the racial. I think the Void Elf teleport is one of the coolest racials in the game. The amount of shenanigans you can do with it. You can do some cool mindgames in PVP but even in PVE you can cast it, stay on add and quickly disappear saving uptime for whatever you need.

Do you know how cool it is to play a void elf arcane mage? You don’t only teleport with blink, but also with the racial. It’s also a great method to escape by placing it on one place but going to another afterwards.

Imagine this applied to a VE monk.
The WW spec already has a similar spell where you leave a copy of you behind and you can chose to teleport back to it anytime.

That would basically trick your oponent twice.
It would really give the opponent the feeling he’s hitting the wind, because his opponent is that fast.

“An illusion what are you hiding.”

Cheers.

That’s just the price you pay for being the most beautiful race in Azeroth. It’s a burden we must carry on our well defined shoulders.

The real question would be why the race couldn’t be just a skin. I mean c’mon that’s just ridiculous, they’re the same skeleton and putting a Mag’har before the orc is also unnecessary.

Yea I literally just want to play Orc with brown skin. Especially when you think about it there were brown orcs in Nagrand who survived Fel Corruption, Garrosh among them.

On side note - people misinterpret my argument so that they can attack me and hardcore players at the same time even though it’s not an actual part of the discussion. I have never diminished anyone for choosing a race for any reason and I simply want people to have cool, unique toys, regarding if it’s actually going to improve metres or not.

Green orcs don’t have awesome heritage armor.
Maybe when they get their additional customization options, green orcs will become interesting again. Don’t forget that hunters have horrible class sets for transmog, so some nice extra options go a long way. :sob:

Mag’har are terrible so I guess it makes sense that their racials are also terrible.

Racials should even exists in the 1st place, which were causing the massive inbalance among factions since cataclysm.

Pretty much. I would even go as far as I think factions should be able to play together. That would solve some major issues in the game.

Are you a top player? Are you going for world first or rank 1 in pvp? Are you able to play your class at 100% potential?
No, then racials are not going to make any difference.
Seriously I don’t understand why casual players complain about racials. I mean if you can’t kill heroic n’zoth or reach 1500 rating it’s not because of racials.

You missed the point, I already explained that I don’t care about numbers.

That is not the point of this topic tho, what he is saying is that maghar racials are boring and completely non interesting.

With vulpera you can get an extra HS set where TF you want, that is cool.
With Dark Iron you have a teleport and a nice dispel that can be useful at times.
Void Elf blink is an interesting ability, more niche in PvE but in PvP imo is super fun for some classes.

10% extra hp on pet imo is not interesting and neither is a random stat buff imo, even if the random stat buff was busted i would still find it boring as hell.

Nah, but the sheep effect impacts. Check back a few xpac. Top guild which were alliance until cataclysm, switched to horde, because of better racials for pve, and the admiers followed them, and the rest…

Check wowprogress and hall of fames. 98% of top guilds are horde.
