Did they put tabards in TBC? Or was that much later for the cities?
i cant remember tbh. according to wowhead, they were introduced in patch 3.1.0.9626, which should be ulduar? BUT they come from the vendors at the argent tournament which was 3.2? so im confused. but makes sense cause you could only champion a city if you were exalted with them. the vendors that we buy them from now (IN the city) did not seem to be added until cataclysm.
I honestly canât remember how we did it
Edit: I seem to remember giving cloth to Silvermoon.
I think that was definitely a thing.
probably the quests. clearing all the quests in the north of eastern kingdoms would probably be enough to get you to or near exalted with UC. and sometimes quests gave horde rep for all the cities. but yeah, i cant remember how i did it.
Just looked at my first toon from early 2007, and he has exalted for all 5 faction races (at the time). i quit playing that toon in may 2008 so there must have been an âeasyâ way to do it as i never did any wotlk+ content on it.
and yes, i remember there were runecloth quests but i wasnât sure if it was for goblins only or cities too. might have been possible during the campaign to open aq (for newer tbc servers) to get rep with the hand ins.
tabards and stuff gave rep, so you bought a tabard and everytime you completed a quest or dungeon or something you got a little rep.
Relevant mobs also rewarded rep.
errrr proof? or is all i said and saw on wowhead rubbish?
one friend of me quit bfa because he didnt like to grind, he started to play PoE instead
Depends what you are referring tooâŚI canât even remember when tabard rep was a thing or when it stopped.
it was a thing but it was some time ago.
ahh ok i gotcha. the original guy was asking about how we got rep in classic. i played in tbc, but i think no major changes were made at that point. as far as i know, rep tabards did not become a thing until wotlk, with race/cities coming in 3.2. rep tabards continued in cata, but with the boa boost for rep items in mop, tabards became a thing like originally in vanilla and tbc, just showing that you had got to exalted.
Weâre talking about way before that. Back in the day
Canât link it but it was cloth turns in TBC - the repeatable quests were removed in Cataclysm 3.3
Way too many side quests that pull you away from the main stories in the zones. Way too many. At the end i did not even bother reading them as most were kill x and fetch this. Hardly advancing a story is it?
that is why you do not pick up side quests before you are done whit the other quests at all, specialy if you are only intrested in leveling, side quests can be done after that when you happen to stumble up on them again.
The sidequests in Drustvar are pretty cool. Stormsong Valley⌠horrible. War Campaign - horrible, though better with this patch. Tiragarde - okay.
My opinion anyways. Creepy girl in Drustvar, and meeting the drust and kul tiran druids are my favourite.
Third time through KT i did not pick up the side quests and managed to complete the zones with litttle fuss. Do the side quests and you are looking at hours and hours of extra useless content. I was 120 already and did not need XP so no point in me doing them. Drawback is tht you will need to do them later for rep, i hate that word now.
OMG this. TBC/WOTLK professions were great! You didnât have to FARM RAIDS to be good geared. Guild were helping each other, tailoring receiving mats from enchanters and jewelcrafters; letherworking from engineers, BS from others, everyone helped everyone. Now⌠if you donât have sanguinell you canât create a good epic gear⌠where to find that? exactly! Raids⌠so what the sense creating that piece in the first place⌠I can easily get geared by doing raids.
LFR. Didnât exist in TBC.
Someone had to to get the recipes.
And the starter gear was rep based recipes.
And you had to grind those motes baby.
Elemental plane? Youâd need to grind the cash for flying for that too. No hyperinflation to help you.
OH YEAH
I remember me farming hours over hours mote of mana in Netherstorm⌠I will always remember those!!! ahahahah they would probably be my last thought the moment before i die
my point is professions were more meaningful back in the days⌠me now doing blacksmith? for what? next assault Iâll get a 370
On that note, back to the topic⌠what is killing the game is everything is fed to you and you lose passion and thrive to continue playing
I have to say my happiest times in WoW was grinding motes of fire for the Spellfire set. But Iâm a masochist and I donât mind a grind >.<
The 385 profession gear is worth it, no? That takes a bit of effort at least.
JWhat I heard and agree.
Soulless world with no community feeling( like npcâs) running around. One of the main reasons why playing this kind of game.
AAA+ game lacking quality for the money.
Catch up mechanics- almost all what earned before, becomes useless, pointless later.
A lot of game elements are becoming pointless- profs, gold, levels, reps and so on. Professions use to be big and huge part of gameplay. Planning your gold income and sorting out gold problems.
Once leveled up rep, those items are like low level already, so just again cosmetic.
Hunter use to have rare pets( like real rare, not like âshow where rares are, addonâ
Low levels even donât need any help anymore:d
Story? Sylvanas are( yeah two of them) at same time at two places and so on. Old storys overlaping new ones. Wont go in details.
Ehh literally we got engame same as leveling - WQ. Some arena - CD trading, trade those cdâs bud. Some odd zilion level same dungeons to do withâmodernlike player mentalityâ players .
I choose better then to kill some boss in Dark Souls, cos that part there is more fun.
So whats left?
PVP?Moba does it better
PVE? Dark souls or something else.
Story? Whicher 3 or smth
What wow can offer? Community? Cosmetics to show off? Who cares about those with healthy mindset?
I barely forcing my last friend which is still playing to stay and play.
Dunno there is no more âWOW factorâ
Thanks⌠Iâll wait next Warfront free 385. How many Sanguicell per Item? 40/50? rank 3 30/40? mmm⌠i like farming alone thank you very much
