this bothers me for a while. why the dragons and neltharion, when he was still sane, need the mortals and the drakthyr ?
these dragon aspects are STRONG and immortal. chromie constantly fought another dragon through time, and she isnt even close to an aspect. why do they need us while they chillax in their throne ?
It’s just awful writing (or lack thereof) to force playable dragons in, really.
We barely have any lore on them, and the lore that we do have is questionable at best.
I like the class fantasy, but it could have been far more thought out, and fleshed out.

For the same thing they needed Drakonids for, Neltharion just wanted some which are better (in his eyes) and completely under his control.

Joke aside, didn’t Deathwing have some sort of “power” over the drachtyr? Besides the parental thing since he created them.
I think he had some sort of titanic artifact, like a gauntlet to controul them?
Then after a battle it was broken and he couldn’t controul them anymore, that’s why he put them in stasis.
