But they should go further and hadle aoeāing like they did on pservers, so that if your only trick is clear abuse of ingame bugs like mara 360 mob pull, monsters end up evading you instead of mindlessly attempt to get to your body.
Glad about this change tbh. Wish they nerfed the old world as well to a massive extent earlier.
Not true, ZF for example generates like 60g per hour since itās mostly raw gold drops and vendoring, which also applies to slave pens

Iām telling you thatās not much, we are also speaking about players killing mobs vs bots pickpocket mobs.
As a mage in Classic I would say that pathing abuse is dumb/playing the game engine and not the game. If you look on old Faxmoneky videos or even private server ZG mage farms - all of that was kiting. No one did stupid pathing. Faxmonkey did only like a boss in DM with pathing āabuseā.
Same with Mara pulls and alike - this is so dump, playing the game engine. IMHO all pathing glitches should be fixed ASAP when Classic launched. Just gives to much power level to the realm - through boosting and farming.
I think itās good that theyāre trying to prevent OP gold making/boosting farms from being possible, especially if those farms are done by exploiting terrain such as evade spots or pathfinding for mobs. They needed to do this in Classic too because solo ZF is beyond broken and only possible because of pathfinding and evade spot abuse, but now in TBC with their altered approach (went from No changes to some changes!) they can do something about these farms and itās much appreciated and Iām speaking as a mage player myself.
Why I love to play mage.
You can still easly do it, there are multiple pathing routes.
Also you can still jump behind the invisible wall from some boxes.

I mean⦠You kill a mob, it generates gold or valuable items out of thin air.
Thatās how the game works and thats how people grind gold.
So mages do indeed generate āsomethingā, everyone does when they play the game.
AoE farming so many mobs, shouldnāt be possible. Also boosting, shouldnāt be possible. One 60 level in your group? Zero experience.
I dont feel sorry for you, boosting in dungeons by a lone mage is destroying instance grouping for those that wanna lvl up the normal way. And the icing on the cake is that you dont make huge amount of money that inflate the economy ingame
Anything that f ups mages is a welcome change.
Mages are almost the only fan way to play, skipping boring quest (if i want to read those Iāll do it on wow road) and even more boring party grind. Dungeon if fun for some initial runs, after that it just making sick to do same thing again and again but with less/more difficulty cause loot heroic mode. Solo farming is really interesting cause you have to explode not boring lore but engine itself. So nerf wasāt that good idea.
And what for the gold and economy⦠It just canāt be same with vanilla. We already got all the information about what is useful and where to get it. And yeah thats is sad that bots and mages generate those but it is vanilla rpg model. Meaning that some classes got lack of gold and some tons of it. And actually bots are already part of wow game lore much more than azeroth history or any single quest story.

AOE mages donāt need to buy tokens from game shop with irl money.
Why would Blizz wanted to help You? If anything they should make your life harder.
