Why nerf Slave Pens AOE farm?

Why on earth would you nerf /change the Slave Pens AOE farm? It was possible to do this in the original TBC so why change it? AOE farming is one of the reasons I like playing mage so much.

How about you do you something about the botting problem ? Thousands of bots are in BRD/DMN 24/7 (and soon in Mana Tombs ) , it’s so obvious that they are bots and you do nothing about that! Bots have a way bigger impact to this game than AOE farming mages…

True, bots generate more income cause there are more bots than aoe farming mages.

We dont need to have both mages and bots generating insane amounts of gold, but yeah getting rid of the bots should also be done

To be fair, I’d say you’re a bit hurt that one of the methods you have for gold making is being reduced. They obviously seen it as an unfair way of generating x amount of gold. Regarding bots, everyone says they do nothing about them, but I’m sure they do more than you think, you just don’t hear about it. Botters just keep an extra step ahead.

Btw for anyone reading this, mentioning/reporting in a server discord about a bot is pointless, you need to do an official cheating report in game. I’ve seen ones saying nothing happens about bots and loads report it in a discord, but please report in game next time and don’t assume a load of people will go out of their way to do it in a discord, because they won’t.

Mages don’t generate anything though. Players pay mages. Bots in BRD pickpocket gold from “thin air”

We’ll see what Blizzard wont/will do regarding relatively large gold pool, will they do proactive changes like so far? Let’s wait and see.

A fair amount of gold does come from Bot’s running ZG /Mara scripts so whilst you’re paying a 60 booster sometimes it’s just a bot with a script. Very rare of course as most just BRD/Strat farm but there’s an increasing number of hunter bots popping up recently so perhaps TBC has some sort of area that’s extremely profitable to farm for hunters?

Too late.

Liar blizzard just doing some small things to fool us just before every release.

RTM mages have been farmed enormous amount of gold by using mob pathing exploits for 2 years and blizz did NOTHING.

I saw tons of bot hunters as well. My guess is they are leveling to get online for elemental farming in Nagrand or as skinning bots.

OT: pathing exploit is still an exploit and not working as intended. The fact the exploit was not fixed originally does not mean it should not be fixed now. We are not in #nochanges anymore.

you are telling me mages pulling an entier instance dont generate any gold? intressting then im guessing trash drops and raw gold drops dont exist? I know its not much compared to bots but its a bit of gold atleast.

Blizzard is not allowed to fix pathing exploits until botting is fixed? Wow how reasonable.

Bots in BRD ‘generate’ gold.
Players buy said gold.
Players use the gold they bought to pay the mage for boosts. (+ all the gold they generate from the mobs and loot)
obviously not applies to every player and/or bot

They generate a bit, but most of their income is generated gold from bots is my guess.

Super stoked about this change. It’s not much but it’s something. Hopefully, at the bare minimum, we’ll be seeing less boosting/aoe services in TBC.

Lol don’t get your hopes up, I still have my chat addon to filter out anything with the word boost, summon and other words.

What addon does that?

Good. We dont need to destroy the economy more then we already have.

Can you link a Blue Post or where you got this information from please.

I did a quick search and couldn’t find a source

Blizzard should investigate all booster mages trade logs.

No player needs 100k gold per month.

But they dont invest a single penny into the classic.
RMT fest, this game.
