Move to the US and you get it in the afternoon.
Iām not a fan of the first few hours, days even. More so in Shadowlands than in Legion and BfA because at least there the playerbase was spread out. In Shadowlands it will be a set order again, so quest areas are going to be overflowing. Not fun. I hope loads of people turn on warmode; less people for me to see.
I remember the Cataclysm launch and I went to Vashjāir to level (because I didnāt realise Hyjal was an option) and it was a really fun experience. Loads of people were around and every so often a server first achievement would pop up and I was amazed that someone had actually managed to race so far ahead!
It takes an impressive amount of dedication and skill I simply do not have.
For some people, WoW may be all they have right now so I say let them have their midnight starts and you can join in when you are ready, you lose nothing because at the end of the expansion everyone will still be grinding a content draught alongside each other and whether you started a day earlier or not will mean little.
Because itās world-wide and itās always been like this.
Iām planning to go to work on the Monday and Iāve taken the rest of the week off. Then I go home, sleep until 23:30, and then wake up with a giant bag of crisps and soda next to me and game the night away. Provided the game works.
If it doesnāt, Iāll watch TV until I fall asleep, probably wake up at like 11 AM, and then itās the middle of the day and most people are at work, and I can play. I already know Shadowlands takes around 7-10 hours to level through at a reasonably fast pace, so by late evening or early the next morning Iāll be level 60 and ready to rock.
Hereās what I always do: I go to bed early on launch night and then get up at 6 a.m. and then play all day. Those 6 hours behind donāt matter, because most people have a dip during the day and Iām usually max level in the evening anyway. It also means quest hubs are less crowded and server issues usually over by then, too.
Will they activate layering on launch ? Wouldnāt that solve lag issues ?
Layering is always activated when it gets too crowded. The problem is that the servers (actual IT equipment not realms) have a capacity. At launch everyone and their dog is logging in at the same time and it causes issues.
We learnt to level without going back to the garrison pretty quickly
