An expansion about going to the realm of death seems perfect to introduce a new class, especially a certain class that a lot of people have been asking for, but I guess not? I guess it slipped their minds?

People keep asking for this stupid class, even though we already have one that’s way cooler.
Unholy Death Knight, you summon ghouls, skeletons, abominations… and you can be ranged. Seriously, what more do you want???

Destruction Warlock and Fire Mage are basically the same as well. There’s no harm in adding another death-themed spec/class.

tbh i would want them to add a non death themed class. like something somewhat original for a change. preferrably something that is heavily heal or tank oriented. dps got most of the attention for the longest time.

It’s about time there was another physical based ranged class. Axe throwing class? Guns and turrets? Javelins/Harpoons? Whips? Hooks? Man, a class flinging hooks and chains around would be cool… Hellraiser style.

Who says we ain’t getting necros? Might come in a major patch during SL when it makes sense to 
I mean the hypes crazy start of a new expansion. Why not save a new shiny class for the year mark, to pull people back to the game.

Also it would be really similar to demo warlock. Imagine the Hand of the Undead, which summons 3 undead soldiers, Undead Tyrant, Summon Undeadstalkers and undeadfiend, etc… 
I like how people call necromancer unholy death knight and blizzard teases an entire zone with necromancers that actually fit the steriotype we all know only to get people even more confused. LOL

Just give warlock glyph’s to turn there pet into undead monstrosities etc and you have your necromancer could be restricted to necrolord only, not just warlocks other classes to, turn there spells graphics themed into there covenant they picked.
Like kyrian druids could have new boomkin form for example.

Why no necromancer class?
It is very simple: Two classes allready cover it and since you can tame undeads in shadowlands you’ve essentially got a third class
Cooler in your opinion, what if someone thinks necromancers are the cooler class?
And how exactly can you be ranged when half of your abilities are melee?
The necromancer is its own class just like the death knight. The fact that they have similar abilities does not mean they would be identical classes. Unless you want to tell frost DKs to start demanding frost mages get removed, paladins demand priest be removed or vice versa. You get the point.
Besides we are past due a non-melee class.

Agreed. Necromancers have existed in parallell with death knights in the lore for ages, hence they are not synonymous with each other. I would say it’s almost like comparing Priests and Paladins. Why do we need both when both are Light wielding agents of the light?
I think there’s plenty of room for necromancers, they could have a pet oriented spec, a dot spec, a healing spec etc.

Yeah, Priests and Paladins, Warlocks and Demon Hunters, Necromancers and Death Knights, are all like iconic combos of classes.
