This… Demon Hunter is in the same “genre” too in a way.
If anything, adding a 4th spec to Death Knights, could that be an option for you OP?

I actually wouldn’t mind if it meant Death Knights lost their minions. I’m all for just death magic combat without the extra minion stuffing. Not a huge fan of zombies.

Unholy Death Knight and Demonology Warlock pretty much play as a Necromancer would.
Adding new races and classes just complicates balancing. If they are going to add another balancing nightmare, at least it should be an intersting one instead of something we already have.

Well then it could at least be a “skin” for Demo locks. Just give us some tome like the destro lock one that allows us to summon undead instead of legion. I think it would be pretty cool, and balance wouldnt be ruined.
Yeah, an Youtuber that I don’t remember which for sure (I think it was Taliesin) suggested the same.
I also think it would be cool, but Blizzard is really slow on taking suggestions and implement them. Even when they implemented they don’t do it as they should.

Yeah it was Taliesin. He suggested alot of skins, I personally would be fine if they just made a simple one for Necromancer, and maybe also a Spellbreaker for Prot Pally, but Necromancer is a priority.
Because any skill this necromancer class would have would just be a duplicate of existing skills used by other classes. There is nothing new a necromancer class could bring to the class choice we already have except for the name
I am not going to read through all comments here and may be someone already said this but I do not think they ever will since there are already other death summon classes in the game.
I’d much rather they never add more classes again and fix balancing of the current ones instead

Given how the last 2 classes they added turned-out, I say it’s good that we didn’t get a new class this expansion.

A true necromancer class is more about reviving dead things like dead mobs, but while it works great in Diablo for example it would be weird in WoW since you don’t always have dead mobs around, or if you go for one button summon x pet then you have a warlock with an undead skin in his demons.
Either an option to fully dedicate in a pet class or the option to go “lone hunter” to be honest.
I want a bard class to buff my teammates and debuff enemies. Sing a song and dancing.

Actually monks flew under the radar because people were too busy hating pandas.
They tried that with Death Knight, all 3 specs were able to tank it was a balancing nightmare.
This woulsnt change the tank and healer situation, ok might spike it for a few weeks then it would fall into the same old lul so this excuse is just that, an excuse.
Yes because Tanks and healers take alot of abuse from idiots and even then tanking/healing is too much of a responsibility for most people who have no interest in that sort of responsibility ie masochism.
Not true at all and again another lame excuse, If worked on properly these classes could be very unique.
Face it bub, there’s been more healers and tanks added to the game over the years than there has ranged DPS just because you don’t like or are unwilling to play those healing/tanking specs doesnt mean you should get another.
