Purpose of the boosted character is to be ready to enter the portal and be competitive with the other players. Having no professions pushes new players to buy gold and boost professions. Nobody is going to the old world to grind materials when there is so much needed in the first 3-4 weeks of TBC.
Why they didn’t give prof boosts?

the prof boost with level boost is called veteran boost and no they dont have veteran boosts in TBC only in retail

No, boosted characters are not entitled to anything more than the level requirement for Outland. Where’s the fun in an RPG if you’re handed everything? Get to work on those professions stat Mr Orc! 
I made 50g in three quests, if you can’t make the gold and buy the stuff then you are doing it wrong.

If u want to level ur profs get off ur lazy backside and farm gold or mats same as everyone else.
Skipping 58 lvl is not enough? … I have only boosted char and nothing else and I have 100% mount and 1200g extra for 150% flying. Instead of wasting my time collecting useles gear I did skinning+mining to 300 in prepatch, then rushed 375 mining instead of levelling when dark portal opened - had first felsteal, hardened adamantium and khorium in AH while people were fighting for pigs in hellfire. EZ profs, EZ gold, no need to get it in boost itself. I cant catch up T3 veterans with thousands of gold and full primary profs but as starter pack and time saver it is all I need…
I could only consider this if the boosted character was level 40, then It could boost professions to 300
you want a set of warglavies with that boost as well?
pls blizzard max professions for outland, epic flying and full raid gear. wtf is this boost
You don’t need professions to be able to join your friends in TBC content. Just play the game instead of expecting to pay to boost everything.
