There is literally a Void Elf Paladin in Telogrus Rift. (And a Void Elf Holy Priest.) We can get wrapped around the axel on names but, at the bare minimum, Light-wielding Void Elves are canon. TWW or Midnight might explain why.
Iām not advocating for any purple-coloured skills; the standard, playable Void Elf Paladin is what Iām here for, Light and allā¦

That is correct. However Void ELF paladin =/= void paladin, a void elf can still align themselves with and use the light, just as undead can (I do assume it to be similarly painful BTW.)
But the argument here is for a shadowy, tentacle loving paladin offshoot, and race does not really matter in that equation beyond ācan become a paladin yes /noā.

Just for the record, itĀ“s not that IĀ“m in any way averse to having a plate wearing, tentacle snuggling, CāThun worshipping doofus standing up there making sure the bigger doofus weāre fighting thinks heĀ“s the problem and not me.
I just donĀ“t see any realistic way that class can be in any way related to a paladin without actuall breaking many years of established loreā¦
ItĀ“s one thing to allow lightborn dranei to become warlocks or Vulpera and Mechagnomes to become Death Knights, thatĀ“s basically jsut where story and gameplay have to diverge for teh sake of player agency ā¦ even though the Battle-net account should theoretically explode on character creation.
But itĀ“s another thing entirely to introduce a āsubclassā into the game with absolutely zero background or historical precedent and just expect it to go over well and fit into the game like it was always there.
I would like to see it, but unless XalāAtath does some really heavy lifting the next few years, I donĆt see it as realistic before the Worldsoul Saga is over and (WARNING; LORE SPECULATION!!!) everyone finally gets the message that all of this light /void /arcane /fel /Life /Death stuff is just shullbit and always wasā¦ Maybe after /during Midnight, depending on what exactly they have in store for usā¦

Iām not sure about paladins, but we should definitely have a full Void Priest.
The only thing that stops me from playing priest is the fact that Shadow (the only spec Iām interested in) is a mix of void and light.
We already have discipline for thatā¦
So why is shadow not full Void ?
Nice word salad there. Void and light are the same thing just different colors. Paladins should be more inclusive. Itās not cool to be stricktly conservative in 2024 in which the game also takes place given how much realpolitiks have been shoehorned into it.

I suspect to get some void themes either specs or new class entirely for midnight, seeing as the rythm of āclass, race, class, raceā. Would be cool to see a void demon hunter as a new possible spec to finally give them a third one

Donāt get me wrong, but I donāt remember that being a restriction in the lore. Please point me to where it is written.
I prefer things to be inclusive, but bringing the āinclusive argumentā when talking about something completely made up in a game. A game with itās own lore, not bound to the real world at all. That is mad. This is a game, donāt try to pull such crap! Not for something that has nothing to do with inclusivity.
If you want you can do that for gendersā¦but not for light vs voidā¦manā¦mad stuff hereā¦

Inclusivity probably comes from the void, also called Shadows.
