why are people against the shop in classic era + SOD? if you play a character a lot you wanna change the appearance after a few months. change from orc to tauren and stuff. you could even allow to change faction on faction inballanced realms. yes no faction change ofc for paladins and shamans.
so: why the hard NO to the shop? no cosmetics, no mounts ofc. only transfers, faction change and most important the race change.
(pls i dont care about rp and lore reasons. these are no valid reasons.)
the shop only brings bad micro transactions, non of these things should EVER be on the era server, also go play retail if you wanne chance from orc to tauren every 2 months, sound like the perfect place for you.
Normally, I would be 100% in agreement with you, but now that everyone has received human racials, I feel that we, as humans, have been deprived of our unique qualities. So, I wish I could switch away from this race.
The OP clearly said that he does not want the microtransaction part of the shop. Everything he asked for should be available as a functional in-game mechanic, free of charge and with a couple months of cooldown.
How can you be against any of it, unless you are one of those fanatics that think your character should be forever locked behind an ugly appearance that you chose years ago while drunk?
The Reality is: you create lets say a tauren, rank, gear up, pump Maybe 50 days played in this character And now after months or years you wanna see some new animations. Is it wrong?
Thing is, if you want a classic+ with more than 3 overworked devs you’re gonna have to accept shops and micro-transactions.
I don’t mind as long as it remains on the cosmetic side of things and does not impact class balance. Especially if that means more money for Blizz to allocate more/better devs.
