Yeah idk why it’s not a thing.
Probably all the 3D bits on Dracthyr body.
The 2 druid specs where you can’t see moggs are animals on 4 legs and the humanoid based gear, transmoggs are simply incompatible with their anatomical body structure and animations. Im all for them getting visible armor, but it’s just unrealistic to adjust armor and weapons on cat and bear forms, it would look extremely stretched and twisted and would clip like crazy everywhere. It’s why the Legion forms were very specifically designed and even then the ‘‘armor’’ peaces are limited.
Now humanoids like Drakthyr, Worgen, etc…don’t have that issue, they only require minor adjustments.
There’s a huge difference cause unlike druids, our armor (That being shoulder, tabard, and belt), transfers over from human to dragon forum. Druids do not even have armor options apart from the standard smogs that you get (EA Artifact skins or what not)
Druids do not have any armor in theyr forms that is based from theyr race
Therefore, your dragon form will look very out of place, having to constantly smog it manually costing excessive gold at max lvl for no reason.
I picked shoulders that looked good in dracthyr form and then I “locked” them in and built visage form transmog around them.
I have been basically going around doing old raids for shoulders that could match any of the dracthyr armor. Priority on the ones that work the way I described.
But honestly, dracthyr is basically a druid and they have always been stuck with just a few appearnces. Not that is a good thing. I cannot understand why blizz chose to do it this way.
What’s sad is that the visage form looks so cool and has very nice customization, but the dragon form is so ugly and bland, and to add salt to the wounds you’re forced to be in dragon form in combat.
Big fail from blizzard’s side.
Dragons don’t need clothes they are overrated
When I saw all the armor options in the character creator, I figured that the dragon form wouldn’t be able to show normal gear. It’s the fact that they weirdly decided to have - of all things - shoulders and belts shown on them that weirded me out.
They need more visage forms, I do not want to be a halfbreed blood elf, I do not want to be half elf human, I want to be a Nightborne, I want to be a Nightelf, I want to be a Zandalari troll!
And don’t let me get started on mogs.
100% agree
When i saw the Dracthyr i was like “ok looks sort of dumb but guess they have to be somewhat humanoid for gear to show properly”, but they dont even show gear…so wtf was the point of them looking humanoid??
Just make them dragons, like a druid form, but a dragon.
This was a discussion on blizzard NA forums too. I do like to see the ability to go into four legged dragon form. Its a fantasy game anyway. They wouldnt even need to animate the dragon form since there’s so many animations allready in the game to the various dragons.
Or allow the option to pick a vissage race (EA Tauren, Human, Worgen or what not
