Why no vanilla timewalking

Why is it not here? Considering you already did most of the scaling anyway?

No, please stop! Too long and boring dungeons. Vannila Tw raid? Sure, but not dungeons. Their design is archaic and outdated.

Vanilla instances involved a hell of a lot of pre planning, even down to farming suitable buffs/items to allow completion.

Can’t see players being happy having to do that.

But that was in the past, when classes were in general far weaker.

That won’t be the case now, i don’t know why you would think that.

Have you ever leveled up by doing classic dungeons? They definitely do not require that kind of preparation to be done.

Was answered in last blizzcon. If you want to do classic dungeons there are already realms for it.

But that doesn’t make sense, if that was their line of logic then we shouldn’t have tbc or wrath timewalking either.

Well they said it take it up with them. And TW was out before classic realms was a thing so

The main issue is that Vanilla-dungeons tend to be quite long to run, and if the past few weeks of timewalking taught me anything, it’s that people don’t want to spend any time in dungeons anymore.

Vanilla dungeons were intended to be adventures, and what players want now is a sprint.

A lot of them are very short, though and/or were revamped or cut to pieces to be shorter…
Don’t tell me they can’t find 6 short ones out of the 25 or so dungeons.

Raids are even more tidious lol

Yea, the main problem is mostly blackrock, but the other dungeon are already cut into smaller pieces so you don’t do 1 massive dungeon.

Yeah, it’s mostly the Blackrock ones, but that’s a big portion of the endgame dungeons, right there.

We could have had wings of Dire Maul or Stratholme, but the other well-known dungeons (Scholo and Deadmines) have been updated for other expansions already, maybe Blizz are planning more updates of Vanilla dungeons?

Have you ever ran Classic dungeons in LFD? Dungeons like Muradon have you kill only 2 bosses before the run is “complete.”

The full dungeons are way bigger…

The time that is needed to fix or modernize every dungeon and make it playable by modern player-base is insane and it’s better to be used elsewhere like Next M+ seasons where they can actually achieve same thing for a better purpose than a random normal gear item as reward.

Think Vanilla instances are just a bit long and very non-linear. I’d personally love to see Vanilla timewalking though.

We have discussed this a few days ago in one thread - problem with Vanilla TW is, that there are basically no Vanilla dungeons left anyways. Most of them got revamped in Cata, and re-used in one way or anoter, which is fine.

The ones left (Dire Maul, Maraudon, Blackrock Spire, Blackrock Depths) are boring as hell though. Wouldn’t want to see them for sure.

I’ve said this over and over again, and I’ve been playing the game since 2006 to be clear, so I’m a vanilla baby. But looking back, vanilla was uber crap compared to what wow brought in the upcoming expansions. It was only good, because it was in that era. I personally didn’t even touch wow classic or tbc classic, because both iterations were uber crap for me.

I MDI vanilla dungeons on a daily basis mass pull and pull m,ultiple bosses at once players who say they are too hard can not play this game properly

Yea they’re not hard, but i think that was established long ago.

some people don’t know how to short cut vanilla dungeons tho so it can lead almost an hour spent in a single timewalking dungeon

An astute observation. I miss classic dungeons. I particularly miss queuing dungeons to level up through all the levels and youd rarely get the same dungeon twice. I made characters just to level this way because it was fun. But now, dungeon leveling, being stuck on one expansion, is awful, just awful. I feel like everyone, including new players, should get the option of ‘dungeon leveling’ to level rather than quests. And you work your way through each dungeon just doing the dungeon quests at the enterance. I would 100% level characters that way over leveling through bfa quests/dungeons.

I know you can choose an expansion to level through, but Im not seeing random dungeons allow me to get into other expansions dungeons… maybe Im doing something wrong, or is it actually gone now? Anyone know?
