Honestly! Crabs look like spiders with shells! It’s the legs! Now I’m not an arachnophobic but my late brother was and he genuinely detested spider-like creatures as well as actual spiders. Do you think Blizzard will decide to choose something altogether different in time? Whoever thought of crabs should be locked up and have the keys thrown away lol XD

I’m glad that this option exist, I managed to survive through the expansion without it until I went in a cave full of those creeps and a giant one that pop out of the ground at the end, NOPE! Now it’s all crabs and it’s fine

Should’ve been Murlocs instead of crabs to still keep the fear factor but without it being spiderlike. A friend who refuses to play due to the spiders do so also cuz of the arachnophobia mode being crabs, they scare him just as much, So sadly he hasnt really played much.

People are hardwired to react to things that skitter.
That how it is and yes crabs to that too but even with accessibility in mind they need to kinda keep it in the same theme.

You should really be trying to reduce your arachnophobia with some wholesome cute jumping spider videos.
Personally i think this is a good thing.
Maybe after this we’ll get to see more spider mounts when the devs dont have to think about who those models might scare.

I wonder, if you have arachnophobia Mode on and use them, does the game just default to the “Bavarian Boxes” we commonly see for unloaded /incomplete assets, and /or repeatedly flash a raidwarning “Make up your damn mind already!”
